    Re: Squee's Workbench

That's one of the Exceed model heads; they're gashapon that basically turn inside-out to make a Zaku head.

    I think they're about 1/35 scale?

WOWI have seen those on E-Bay and what not. I just wasn't sure about the size and the quality. Sometimes those gimmick toys kind of suck, but this one looks really cool.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

They're non scale, but definitely smaller than 1/35. I have other 1/35 scale busts and comparing this to them its more like 1/40-1/42ish in scale.

Here it is next to my Turn A head which from all accounts is 1/35. In most media, the heads are roughly the same size.

The UC Hardgraph set w/ the zaku head is 1/35, and this is smaller than that as well.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Good to know. I should just measure the thing to get the right scale.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Its from the old banpresto head figure line. They were released in sets of 4. I was lucky enough to grab this one from a friend who was liquidating some of his backlog.

They all have bases like this:

Very basic designs, but there was a group build years ago where people took them and modified them. That's my goal with this one, i added little details around it.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

I should paint that thing one day. I just have 1 more mod to add to the back of the head that i carved out. Then just wire up the leds on it.

As for the Zaku head; After work yesterday, i went and did helped my coworker at his other job. Ended up not getting home until almost 4am. Needless to say, i slept in today lol and am still wide awake. I'm near done with this thing. Added details and did the main lining on it. Tomorrow i'll add a few stains and then flat coat it. Maybe some dust effects in the face vent as well.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Thanks dude, glad to see you're still around! I posted a finished thread.

    http://www.gundamforums.com/showthre...(Exceed-Model)

I brought it to a meetup this weekend and it got a lot of attention. I just got a char version in the mail from my friend. Might do a high gloss candy finish for that one.

Next up, Char Head. Most likely going with a high glosss finish.

    That was awesome, lol.
It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. At least, that's what I keep telling myself with all my modeling supplies...
