    Re: Squee's Workbench

    Nice Squee, GM love.

Would like to see more about making that base too as I've just attempted one (not much success)

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Alot of this i got from Child of Mecha, he does some incredible scratchbuilding. You can find his wips on fb or on his site, but he's redoing the latter.

Anyways, i got some more angle styrene, and finished off the main parts of the base. I kind of want to add some other things, maybe a little car or something.

I think you should swap the car and give it a little barricade with soldiers by it, like it's a checkpoint area or something, perhaps some chain fence and make it an entry point scene to a base. Just throwing that out there.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

That... actually shoulds fantastic. Need to do some searching for supplies now lol

I was just going to do a runway/base. I'll look into that and see if its cost effective.

Edit* Now that i think about it, this might be too small for that. I'd need like another inch or so on each side, otherwise it'd be a bit crowded i think.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

that is a really cool idea. you could do some figures of guards and a gate with some hesco barriers like its a FOB. like so http://www.militarysystems-tech.com/...d-sanger-l.jpg do a browning M2 and a MK-19 mounted. with a EOD check point to search vehicles trying to come on base forward of the actual gate in case of car bombs. have some search lights on the top of the guard shack and Concertina wire. if your gonna do it you might as well make it LEGIT.

Sometimes I wonder if zaku even realize Freddie controls are different from zeek controls. Lol.

Nice base Squee. I've always wanted to do something simple except with a gate, guard shack, a Ms on guard and a Ms on a trailer entertaining the base.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Got my HO scale chain link fence today. Laid out the sides, debating if i want to do a gate on the front or not. Still playing around with the limited parts that come in the kit.

The actual fence is just mesh material. Just held on with tape right now, not even cut even. I just wanted to see how it would look.

The set comes with 4 gates, but it would really need a bigger size so i glued them together. Much better. I also have an idea to give the base a story, i'll see if i can pull it off.

    The 4 gates:

Glued them together, i really like how it looks.

Looks good though Squee. Kind of a shame the fence is just some mesh and didnt come cut straight.

Do you have any little signs to post on the fence, like no entry or restricted area?
