This way you have ground up sticks and leaves for cheap, some of the teabags are mesh themselves that can be reused for the same netting.

Please grab something like these, having nice mounting points is something that usually is missing in these types of builds unless they are wrapped up on a tank.
Oh I so need to order some of those.

As for the teabag idea they can also be used as dust covers on the joints of mechs.

That tea bag idea is pretty cool. I will have to try that.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Thanks for the link to those PE parts. I just put in an order last week at USAGundamstore, i could have bought it then lmao I did order them either way. I don't plan to add any kind of foliage to the netting. Its mostly going to be used to interact with the dio and protect the generator. Even if i wasn't i don't think it would look natural at 1/100 scale. I feel like you would have to use "tree limbs" as twigs lol

I really am thinking about changing the pose on this kit. I am holding off until i get/build the new rifle, if only USPS would deliver my package already. Its been headed to my area from the NY hub since Monday. It was supposed to be 3 day priority, but there is a nonsense delay. Anyway, i did some plating on the knees, and a quick primer check. Needs some fixing, but i really like it!

*This isn't the pose, i just wanted to see how the added work looks in a regular pose.

GM sniper IIs are sexy tbh. Would be even more so if they showed off their mono eye instead of hiding it behind a colored visor.

If IM close enough to see the mono eye, that mono eye is seeing nothing but heat hawk.

Also squee are you talking him being in the prone on a hilltop? If so you should consider doing a MS Sized Ghillie suit. Or yetti suit. Witch is just waist up.

That would defeat the purpose of adding detail to the MS since the ghillie suit would cover them up.

That detail would still be there and you can have the ghillie half on half off.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

Okay, so i have no plans on doing a ghillie suit, this is a giant robo lol The kit is getting camouflage and the netting is going to be used to cover the generator. I've never done regular cloud camo before so this is something new for me.

Added some lining to the front skirts. I still need to chamf the edges of that added plate and clean up the larger channel but i like it so far.

Also some new lines on the legs around the vents, and some added plating in the cockpit hatch area. Next step is some detail on that.

    Re: Squee's Workbench

You see all those red putty marks? Those are mistakes lmao I'm really trying to get better at it, so with each new build i'm adding more and more details.

I mainly use Dymo tape/Hi-Q carving tape, and .15mm chisel bit. This pic is the tools i use. Tapes on the left. Chisels in the green handles. Ruler and caliper to measure where to start, etc.

If you can, just practice on a sheet of styrene. Just practice getting the lines straight, the proper depth, etc.

Two books i'd recommend, scratchbuild revolution, and Clash of the Deities. They're not cheap, like 40-45 a piece, but they explain it way better than i could ever do.

I notice the red GM in the back is blown away just by it's mere presence!! That thing is massive. WOW But yet not so big that it looks stupid, as some of the big guns tend to be.
