The new parts are gold. The main suit is still yellow.

Thanks that's good to know. I keep debating if I should order this or not.

So the original yellow parts are still yellow and the expansion kit did not include gold replacement part for them?

Seems like if you do not have the MG V2 Ver Ka already, might want to spring more for the complete kit, but do seem to cost a little more than just V2 Ver Ka plus the expansion kit though.

I mean, the msrp of the full kit is 7560yen. The expansion set + MG V2 + Wings set adds up to 11220yen msrp. Not including the markup for the wings now. The full kit has all gold parts as well, so if you don't own the V2 already, its better to go for the full kit.

Right. If you want all "gold" parts instead of yellow and gold mixed, then full kit is the way to go. Another thing about going the full kit, if wanted regardless of reason, is the cool box art that it might have.

For whatever reason though, the MG V2 still looks weird when compare to the HGUC counterpart.

Edit: Looking at Dalong's website it seemed that old 1/100 HG V2 Assault Buster also have gold and yellow parts mixed. Probably lazy and do not want to produce parts that were already available in gold. Though gold parts of the old seemed to be better looking in color. 2 cents though...

Rockpopandchips latest post in his finished thread reminded me i should finish this little ma.k thats on my bench. Pulled out my DIY applicator and added some wintergrass. Far from perfect but i'm getting the hang of this little by little.

    Re: Squee's WB

Its a kit that you have to put together yourself. You can also build it like the single unit kind but you have to buy your own materials. I actually just ordered a complete one, since this one is a bit finicky to work with.

I had to build the handle myself. I'm pretty sure i showed pics of it before with my gm sniper snow thing.

I posted it in the finished area, a bunch of views but no replies lol probably wont show non gundam here as much going forward, although i am building more non gundam lately lol

Anyway, I started up on this guy again, currently doing final touches on it an slowly assembling.

Just finished the engine area mostly. Probably one of my favorite parts of the design.

The part that held me up the most; These freaking arm cables. The resin ones were very short and just didn't fit right. I made new ones out of wire but they just weren't staying in. Then i realized, this is resin and its hollow behind these parts, so i just drilled completely through and now i can adjust them as needed.

    Original fitting.

    After paint.

I glued them together and did some paint touchups from moving them. Currently waiting for them to cure before attaching them to the body.

    Re: Squee's WB

Just waiting on some supplies for the base so my Rectioneter is on a shelf til they show up.

Currently working on my 1/8 Berserker Armor Gutts gk kit

Painted up the base somewhat. Main colors and some russian dirt pigments. I'll add more after the kit is painted up.

Doing some test colors, i mixed some burn steel and regular steel and sprayed it on. Its the buff type so it gives a nice tonal difference. Only thing that sucks is i rubbed a little to hard on the edges, and it stripped a bit. Will have to adjust for that in the future.

Just put it together to see how it looks. I am verry happy with it!

    Re: Squee's WB

The scene this is from there's a lot of fire all around, so i wanted to add a bit of a red tone to it. Sprayed some Burnt Iron over the armor. After some polishing, it still remains dark, but has a little red shift on it.

Also painted most of the main colors on the cape. Next is to beat it up some more.

Forgot to show, putting an led in there.

    Base colors on the sword

Just got some spots to mask and the main colors are done. Everything will tone down and get dirty during the next phase of painting with some filters, washes and pigments.
