Thanks Squee, I have just been using Tamiya clear and it definitely affects the model masters. I'll see if I can get the correct sealer and give it a go.

    Re: Squee's WB

I kept staring at the parts, and i came to the conclusion that i don't care about it being accurate to the original line art. Sprayed my first color, Ninja Purple. ^_^

    That's a sexy looking purple!
It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. At least, that's what I keep telling myself with all my modeling supplies...

    Re: Squee's WB

Thanks! Just wanted to see how it looks a bit on the frame parts before i start sanding some parts for touching up. I really like how it's looking, so much nicer than all black!

Progress from this weekend. Some touching up needed, but now i'm on to masking.

Its only with the resin kits. Anything else you turn around quickly.

    Re: Squee's WB

So Wednesday night, i filled an aluminum container with the parts and purple power. I have done this dozens of times. I woke up Thursday morning, 6 am, aka 7 hrs since i put them in. I go to check and there is black stuff all over the parts... and there is no liquid in the container. I lift it up and a part starts to fall through. The PP ATE through the freaking metal! Did i mention that i was storing it in my spray booth? So i ended up being late for work, as i had to take everything apart and had to clean up the mess. Left my booth outside on the side so that it would drain. I was really worried the wiring would be damaged. Anyway, i put it back together tonight and thankfully it all turned on.

Used up the last of the can primer to do a primer coat. Had just enough to do a decent coating.

Next time, store it in the bathtub.

I have a cat that jumps in the bathtub. I kept it in my booth cause he knows better than to go in there.

The purple power are the aluminum? I'll have to experiment with that.

    Re: Squee's WB

I honestly just use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) to strip paint. It works great for acrylics and doesn't react with plastic or metal.
