Gihren's greed translation?

I don't care which version of the game but someone please tell me there's a way to play gihren's greed without learning Japanese. I'll do that if that's what it takes, I've wanted to for a while now but I desperately want to do it, I know there were multiple projects to translate it but I don't know if any succeeded. Does anyone know anything about it?

You're probably better off in the long run just learning JPN. It's a fantastic skill to have and will open the door to playing a bunch of games that never see the light of localisation.

Thanks! That's annoying that i'll have to learn Japanese but I guess I've wanted to for a while though anyway, I can use this as an excuse. Will I have to learn to speak it first before I can learn to read it?

You do both at once if you're learning properly.

I recommend avoiding material like "Learn Japanese in a week!!!" books as they're an unreliable learning tool. If you can take classes with an actual teacher (like I did) then that would be ideal, but if not then I'd suggest seeking out proper textbooks like the "Japanese From Zero" series (by George Trombley) which my friend highly recommends as they're also making supplementary YouTube videos with the teacher to listen to along with each lesson in the books.
