Question How would a Mobile Suit with 3 GN Drives turn out?

Based on your knowledge of GN Drives, how do you think a Mobile Suit with 3 GN Drives work?

Re: How would a Mobile Suit with 3 GN Drives turn out?

Well, the final boss of 00 Season One had multiple GN Drives, but only to increase its power output and operational time. Granted, they were Tau Drives with limited operation time, so multiples would allow it to run on one, then switch when the first got depleted. It was not until the 00 and Qan[t] that a true Twin Drive system was developed. A Triplet Drive system is possible if, like the Qan[t] the drives were specifically made to operate with each other. It comes down to what the intent of the setup is.

Do you mean having 3 drives or having 3 drives in a triple drive system?

I believe the Susanowo had 3 drives but not linked. Double check this, it's been awhile.

I was thinking more of a triple drive system.

Re: How would a Mobile Suit with 3 GN Drives turn out?

    According to http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Twin_Drive_System:

"This technology implements a mathematical formula of - output of a single drive to the power of number of drives synchronized."

Basically, the Alvatore from season 1 had seven unsynchronized drives, which means that its particle generation was computed at 7x. If a single drive in this case were to produce 300 particles as an example, then the total particle generation of the system would be at 2100. (300 x 7 = 2100)

The Reborns, 00, Raiser and Qan [T] all had twin drives, which means that their particle generation was squared or multiplied to the power of 2. If a single drive in this case were to produce 300 particles as an example, then the total particle generation of the system would be at 90,000. (300 x 300 = 90,000)

A triplet drive with 3 synchronized solar furnaces means that theoretically, the particle generation would be cubed or multiplied to the power of 3. If a single drive in this case were to produce 300 particles as an example, then the total particle generation of the system would be at 27,000,000. (300 x 300 = 90,000 x 300 = 27,000,000)

I could be wrong on this. Please double check.

    I used a calculator

Even funnier would be if a quad-drive system will be applied to the new Build Divers series. Geez...that would be well and above Dragon Ball Z / Nanatsu no Taizai-esque energy measurements.

Quad system? 00 shoulders, anything with a chest drive, Arios waist, boom. 4 drives. It'll happen. And it'll be dumb. Then it'll get rivaled with a unit using EXAM and ZERO System!

In Gundam Breaker 3, the "chest drives" are actually backpacks, so any of the S1 Gundams would work. The Cherudim also has a butt GN Drive, so that would work, too. Now I have to create this in the game to see how effective it would be.

GN Drives also exist as Builder Parts, so an additional seven could be added.

I thought Chiri-Bum did. Nothing like a good ol butt-drive.

90,000 x 90,000 = 8,100,000,000. So, looks like a Quad System would allow for the production of over 8 Billion GN Particles. Are you sure EXAM (from Universal Century) and ZERO (from After Colony) systems are worth traveling through alternate dimensions to gather?

If you are going to have a mobile suit with an output of a single GN particle for every time someone allows for their day to be ruined by the mere existence of P-Bandai, don't you think the Trans-Am System is plenty?
