Re: 1st time painting gunpla model (kshatriya HGUC)

I'm no perfect, but I want it to be good. Maybe I'll buy the needed sanding later, along with the paints! But I have to learn more about having a good finish, like sanding the nub marks and marbe polising the surface? I also have some, unnecessary molds in the kit, i will just polish them.

For sanding stuff, don't worry about getting the "specially for, made by so and so" expensive stuff. I just go to Auto zone or advanced auto and you can get the fine wet sanding paper cheaper and bigger sheets. I get 500.600. 800, 1000,15000, and 2000 grit sand paper from them.
As for sanding sticks another cheaper route is a Beauty supply store and you can get Emory boards. They are generally Pink, Blue and a three part Gery and white. They are two sided and range from Pink 400/600 grit up to the grey and white are super fine up to 12.000 grit.
That way if yu want to cut them to a point or wear them out you aren't out much, they are only about $1 a piece.

You can also buy wet sanding sand paper multi packs on Amazon for dirt cheap. I bought a pack that was 400, 600, 800, 1200, 2000, and 3000 around $7. There was 4 sheets of each grit. Keep in mind they are the smaller pre cut sheets for a sanding block, but who cares i cut them down smaller anyways.

If your looking to sand/polish your kits buy the nail Emory boards like monkey suggested. I'll have to find my set and post a pic for you. I have one that is made to polish nails. I can sand a kit with the Emory boards and go over it with the finishing board and give the bare plastic a glossy shine.

The polishing boards are what I used when I built the RG Sinanju high Gloss. After sanding the nubs down I sanded finer and finer grits till I got to the 12,000 polishing board and those parts actually have a better shine than the rest of the kit!

Hell they are great for making sure a base is super smooth if you do a chrome or candy cover. Either way I use them like they are going out of style.

Can you post a pic of what your talking about? You should have full even coverage with your primer.

Could you clarify what you mean? Are you looking for color suggestions for the green?
