Re: [RP] Gundam Build Divers : Fortune's Wild

"They seem antsy." Michael said, he'd been quite since he really wasn't a member of the team just a friend of it. "Could be a good sign don't you think?" he asked the vets of the team, though mostly Santi.

"Then if we're using the franchise I'm the most qualified person to pilot a gundam here as a 'kid'. It's always a kid in them isn't it?" Michael pipped up finally, the kid thing was helped by the fact his shorter than he actually was avatar made him look younger than he was. "They're right. Let's begin." he said putting his fist in the air before bringing it down.

"That's the spirit Carmine." Michael said with a grin about a mile wide. "Also a good way to put a potential target on your back, always going for the extra challenge!"

The grim realization of what he said being potentially true dawned on Carmine as Michael said it his eyes going a bit wide at that but otherwise remaining relatively neutral looking.

"Sure thing, kid." Rupert realized that he had messed up but chose not to correct it, instead he made a somewhat dismissive remark.

Simon could have gotten pissed, but the goal he had in mind did not permit him such. He simply rolled his eyes at the comments and faced forward, looking towards the Veterans and waiting for when they would be escorted to the tryout area.

Trenton made a scoffing snort at Santi's remark. It's times like this when I actually do wish that Kati was around. She could've held this together.

Santiago looked around the room for any more comments from the peanut gallery. When he saw that no one had anything else to say, he activated the holoprojector behind him, which read a bunch of names, separated into groups.

"This tryout will consist of a battle simulation where each of you will be separated into 4 man teams, each with their own leader selected from one of us Veterans. You will be given an mission objective to accomplish to help us win the overall battle scenario. Since there are so many of you, and only a few of us, we will have to run the tryouts in several waves. If you see your name, please approach the corresponding colored door and say hello to your leader. The rest of you stay put, and wait for your chance to shine."

On the far end of the room, 5 different colored doors appeared, and Makayla, Sonny, Ronnie, Nathan, and Paul each stood next to one, waiting for the recruits they would take out on a mission.

Re: [RP] Gundam Build Divers : Fortune's Wild

Simon took in the words carefully, digesting them and coming to understand what they were going for. He nodded as what Santi stated popped in his head, picturing the best case scenario in his head at how they were approaching this tryout. It was cleverly simple but effective. Not only would they demonstrate their teamwork, they were going to test to see which carried out their orders and which did not. He took in a slow breath, a grin forming across his face as he balled up his fists in preparation for his name to be either called or shown. When his name appeared above Sonny's door he stepped forward with the rest of the team on Orange. He was ready, He had only a year's retraining but he was ready. He had a goal, he had his gear, he had the practice in. He was going to win, no matter what...

Trenton nonchalantly headed over to the Red Team, hands in his pockets. The mission would dictate which suit he would use. If he could reliably stay at range he would use Sadalsuud, and Cherudim if he needed that extra maneuverability for mid-range combat.

Stella was starting to get a little anxious as she crossed her arms across her chest and started tapping her right foot to ease her anxiety. To relax herself, Stella one more pulled up the mobile suit manual; this time though it was the manual of the MSN-001A Delta Plus. She carefully read through the manual, learning about the limits and quirks of the Delta Plus while also listening to the chatter going on around her.

Dunno what's planned but I'm hoping it's not a team battle royal. thought Kalin, Just need to show I can work with a team, not so much that I'm a team player.

On the far end of the room, 5 different colored doors appeared, and Makayla, Sonny, Ronnie, Nathan, and Paul each stood next to one, waiting for the recruits they would take out on a mission.
As soon as Stella heard Santi speak, she put away the manual. At this point, she had learned all she needed to know about how to operate a mobile suit. When she saw the holographic leaderboards being displayed. Stella then scanned the boards and found her name, under the leader Sonny; she also noticed that Nathan was a leader but for a different team. As she was approaching the door where she was assigned, Nathan stopped her.

"Katerina, hold up a sec. I've got to ask, are you alright?"

"Well my brainwaves are still functioning, so yeah I'm alright."

"Not what I meant. I meant mentally and emotionally."

"Well... I am a bit nervous, and that a-hole really pissed me off."

"Ah don't worry that mook, he's not going to make the team. As for your nervousness, don't be. You've more talent in your pinky finger than most other Divers have in their whole body. Just relax and take a few deep breathes. You've got this, I believe that."

Stella then relaxed her body and took a few deep breathes. A few moments later, a look that Nathan hadn't seen in years on Stella's face appeared. This was a look of confidence and determination. And then for a moment, a smile appeared on her face.

"Alright, go get em tiger," Nathan said as he gave a light tap on Stella's shoulder.

"Yeah, well show em who's boss grease monkey," Stella responded as she too tapped Nathan's shoulder. With that, the pep talk was over, and Stella headed towards her squadron leader, Sonny.

"So, I guess I'll be jockeying with you then?"

Simon stepped up to Sonny, noticing the Kamen Rider and the woman from before. He nodded to them and gave a smile, "Looks like us three and a Vet then eh?" he said with a chuckle, scratching the back of his head as he waited for his new commander to dish out orders.

Re: [RP] Gundam Build Divers : Fortune's Wild

Seems I'm with the RPer who knows who else. Carmine thought walking up to where the red team was waiting. Well if the RP guy is as formiddable as who he's playing and the other one is solid too should be fine the veteran seems to have his head on straight at least..

"Clearly....Or else our usernames wouldn't be glowing orange over the orange door." said Kalin, not looking to socialize if he could help it, "Call me Rider."

"Hi guys, my username is Chestnut, but you can just call me Sonny. Don't worry about a thing, I will make sure we make it through this mission in one piece."

Sonny tried to flash a confident smile like Santiago, but it didn't look very convincing, especially with a slight sweat on the side of his forehead.

"Now follow me through this door, and I will explain the mission."

"Crap, I don't remember all of the mission specifics. Why didn't I read the manual like Santi told me to? Oh well, too late now. Don't want Kaho to yell at me again."

As Sonny spoke to them, Stella couldn't help but tilt her head to the side in bewilderment with her right ear tilted down.

This guy is supposed to be our fearless leader? I've seen minnows with more courage than this guy.

Stella then shrugged her shoulders. Maybe he's better than he lets on.
