Re: Wing Zero Custom 1/60 Foot to Lower Leg Ball Joint

Haven't had a chance to run to the Hobby Shop. How much would they charge to fix something like this?

Take a metal hangar, like the ones you get from a dry cleaner. Find a drill bit that is the same thickness/diameter. Drill into the center of the peg, and into the center of the part where the peg comes from. Cut the hangar into a length that will fit into what you drilled. put them together to see that they fit. If it fits nicely, take it apart, pull the metal out and then add some super glue to the metal bar. Put it back in. Put the parts together. Let the glue dry. I'd then take some hobby glue, like tamiya cement, and go over the broken crack/seam. LEAVE IT ALONE overnight. After that see if it stayed in place.

This video explains it. He's using a ball joint, but its the SAME concept.

^^ exsactly what he just said. I looked at mine last night and this will work. I had a different idea and would take a bit more work but his idea is basically the same thing. Go with his.

Don't pay someone else to do something simple that you can do yourself. Plus if you fix it, you will learn a new thing that will come in handy later for other builds or custom work.

To error is human, to forgive is divine, Luckily I'm neither of these things!
