Question Fixing 1/144 HG Gundam Gusion seem lines ??

So the Fixing 1/144 HG Gundam Gusion kit has some seem lines on the shoulders. I have been racking my brain trying to think how to fix them .

Does any one have any ideas . I know I can glue the parts and then use putty to fix them . This has one problem , if I do it this way I would have to try and tape up the purple part and paint around it . This would be difficult with rattle cans . Any suggestions or Ideas would be welcome.

You could try the colored cement method. Using an empty paint bottle, cut some little bits of the sprue in the color you need and put them in the bottom of the bottle, then cover them with Tamiya thin cement. Wait a while, then stir it up, add more cement or plastic as needed; the plastic melts and forms a gooey kind of paste with the sprue pieces.

It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. At least, that's what I keep telling myself with all my modeling supplies...

let me get my head around the question. You want to fill the seams but still be able to get the shoulder attachment out for painting. Right? If so that will add a new dimension to the problem. like for Urbansnipers idea that would mean that the purple shoulder joint would have to stay where it is and you don't want to have to mask it and paint it with a rattle can.
That leaves us with little options. I think that Gunpla.newb has a good idea.

Cut a part or segment out of the purple part where it is held in place by the green pegs, but KEEP THE PART. But make sure you cut it so that it is hidden facing in towards the model. this way you can take the shoulder out and leave the green together. Then do a normal seam filling of the green part. after painting is done, you reassemble the parts and put the purple part back onto the pegs and then glue the part that you saved back in place to keep the purple part from falling out.

    Just an idea.

To error is human, to forgive is divine, Luckily I'm neither of these things!

Put the parts together and move them around. Take note what part on the purple, where it connects you won't see it once the green part is on.

Cut the pegs on the red part down a bit. Then cut out a part of the purple part so that you can slip the green pegs in after you remove the seams on the green/paint. Since the green parts go on the outside of the arm, cut there. Again, see where the cut wont show. By cutting down the green pegs, you won't have to take as much off of the purple part.

Kind of like this for the purple part, but you don't have to cut all the way through. The green part, once you remove the seams, it will have a bit of flexibility, so you only need cut a little off the pegs.
