    RE Bawoo - Rebawoo

For those of you who joined me for the Efreet Kai -Schneid build, I ended that post with a promise to do the Bawoo and the Rebawoo. Here it is!

The RE Bawoo has a box size of a regular MG

    ...but the Rebawoo?

    Ridiculously large.

Here's the Rebawoo's Katoki-esque decals for those interested

    Gorgeous

As you'd expect, the Rebawoo uses the axe-saber and the Beam Rifle runner from the MG Sinanju. So this will be a P-Bandai mix of parts from the Bawoo and the Sinanju, along with what seems to be a lot of new parts. The Rebawoo is noticeably more different from the Bawoo than the Efreet Kai was from the Schneid.

But let's go on to the manuals.

Beautifully colored manual along with the decal guides

And for those interested in the engravings...

Pics may be hard to see so imagine a picture of Professor Farnsworth saying "Good News Everyone" (admit it, you said that in his voice)! The engravings are all detailed in!

    Will start tomorrow.

Huh, just noticed that the manual has bilingual instructions on it. I wouldn't have thought to see that on a Premium Bandai exclusive kit, but then again Bandai knows that the West has a fairly sizable Gunpla market.

The MG P-Bandai Heavyarms is the earliest Gunpla I know that has bilingual manual and that was an October '16 release Guessing they decided to do bilingual alongside the US shipping option from Bandai. True for Star Wars kits too, just the vehicles though. I got the Shoretrooper and the Death Trooper kit from Rogue One (Nov and Dec kits) and they don't have English (shows they intend to only sell 'em in Japan). The TIE Interceptor, an August 16 release, had English too. If only the older kits now came with bilingual manuals too but oh well lol.

    RE Bawoo - Rebawoo

Before the build, I will show you the runners. Darker red parts are the Rebawoo's and the salmon color is the Bawoo.

    A Runners

    B Runners

Strangely, the Bawoo's inner frame is darker than the Rebawoo's. This is the same from the Efreet Kai and the Schneid.

    C Runners

    D Runners

Here we spot our first difference. The D runner for the Rebawoo (on the right) has some parts omitted. Otherwise, they're identical.

    Next are the E Runners

Like the D runners, the E runners for the Rebawoo (left) have some parts omitted. This time for the feet and the "claw" on the Bawoo.

    The F Runners

Same story. This time the chest.

    G Runners

    Identical runners!

    H Runners

This time, the Beam Rifle and the Shield Beam Cannon is omitted from the Rebawoo. Strangely, they give you parts to make the regular Bawoo's head on the Rebawoo.

    Polycaps

    Both the same. Nothing new.

Now for the Rebawoo exclusive, first the I (1 & 2) Runners.

I don't know what these parts are for except the Rebawoo shield and the Beam Axes haha.

    J Runner

Recopy of the Beam Rifle and Grenade Launcher from the Sinanju. If you built the MG Sinanju, you've seen this.

    K Runner

The shield, the chest with engravings, a different chest emblem, all the engravings, new skirts, new head, monoeye, Rifle sensor, and other parts for the chest.

Lastly, with the Rebawoo you get this

If you built the Sinanju or the Sazabi Ver Ka, you've seen this.

For a P-Bandai kit you get a lot of new parts, which would suck for those that really want a Rebawoo. Will post pictures of the builds next!

    RE Bawoo - Rebawoo

The first difference you'll be working with is the chest. Left is Bawoo and right is Rebawoo.

As you work on the chest, this is what you should come up with

    Now

The top part of the chest is different as well, though only by a bit. Same deal, left regular and right P-Bandai. The two also differ in the chest emblem.

You will also notice the collars and the front chest vents of the two are different. Yellow is Bawoo and white is Rebawoo. Once assembled, they really do show some differences.

Now for the head, where it's noticeably more different

The one thing I did not realize was how much smaller the Rebawoo's head is.

It's much more noticeably different in the head armor.

The Rebawoo has a face mask as a separate piece while the entire head armor covers the monoeyes. Pretty cool.

    Lastly

The fins of the head are slightly different and at the end you should get this

    So far so good.

See, the Rebawoo is just a little bit too 'busy' for me I like the Bawoo better right now. When they are built, that might change...
