    Re: LGT WIP Thread

Sorry about that whole RG/MG thing my bad. Any hoo. You are right the wings are a bit "Look at ME!" with the colors you chose for the main body. Personally I think if you did the black to white you would lose them, they would blend in and it would be a bit too much white. Can or do you mask? I would give a darker gray a shot but mask off the top flat part of the wing parts and make them white. That would bring the white in and the darker gray would tie it all together but not over power the body gray you have.

I would leave the blue just as it is. I like the little blue high lights you have. but that is just me.

I would change the black to match the grey on the chest and calves.

I'd change the black on the wings to grey, that'd make it blend in nicely.

No problem bro. I am sure the channel is a forgiving one nice idea I might take up on doing two tone thingy. Yes and no on masking. I tried it on my home improvements projects but never on gunpla before guess they are the same.

Yeah, I agree with the others. Grey wings will work nicely.

    FINALLY~! Its finish~!

I took everyone's advice and use a dark grey which I DIY from my paints to get this.

Now the final product. However I am not please that this kit is back heavy. Even with the stand the model is falling backwards. More pics and post on my complete thread

thank you all for your help and support!

    now is decal time...

I like this better than black on the wing, since black draw too much attention.
One question though, what did you use for the gold, because it looks uneven, especially on the chest in the first pic?

If I recall correctly I believe he used a Gold Gundam Marker.

And I agree that the grey looks a lot better than the black.

Yeb I use the gundam gold marker for gold colour and that part was the first I experimented red with gold. As the build progress I regretted using that marker but I don't print $$$ so no more close up shots
Will try again to touch up using brush but the takiya accent black I use on the kit made the kit very britter and a lot of parts starts to fall apart so I do not dare to take my kit apart anymore tho...

WIP - MY HG Unicorn Gundam 03

    Hi all,

Finally gotten back into builder mode and gotten some Gunpla while visiting Japan on a business trip.

My first attempt will be this Silver version of the Unicorn Gundam I picked up at Gundam Front Tokyo.

I decided to do some modification with paint to make this attempt a Ninja Theme using Gunmetal + Black paints.

Still left the lower torso to build but I guess I need to retouch up those eyes of his... Anyway enjoy and comments always welcome!

First pic is the booklet display of the model. 2nd pic is my WIP (pics taken from my old iphone so again pic quality sucks)

    LGT1977 MG Shin Musha WIP

Wifey brought me this MG Shin Musha Gundam for my birthday a couple of months back and I have been planning how to custom paint this Gundam to be even more fiercer than it already is. This is my version of it and I hope it comes out well.

Some of the parts are really hard to deal with especially the gold parts. Maybe bros here can help how to cover up those nub marks...

Colour scheme are custom dark metallic grey, Hot-rod red, gold, gloss black. I leave other parts alone for now as they fit into the overall I idea I have. Did some masking on the head and waist unit for different colour effect and turns out quite nice!

Took some pictures of the gundam in his raw WIP form. Hopefully they appeal to you guys as much as I have.

Already completed the shoulders and inner frame of the legs but yet to take pictures of them.
