    Next RG Kit for Collection

Hi, wanted to crowdsource opinions on which RG Kit to get next. I'm not new to gunpla but so far I've only built the RG Red Frame and Exia, and I want to expand my RG Collection. I'm eyeing the RG GP01 Zephyrantes (got a 95% review in Gaijin Gunpla); any tips on what to look out for?

    Thanks!

I've built the GP01 Full Burnern and Sinanju so far, and loved 'em both.

GPo1's a fantastic kit. Has the core fighter gimmick but it isn't made finicky because of it. Out of the RGs I've built, it has to be my favorite.

I've built the Zgok and it's great. I had no real issues with it, pretty solid for the most part.
It doesn't have any weapons though aside from what's there on the suit so there's that to consider.

Re: Next RG Kit for Collection

In all honesty the only RG I have built (I have all of them) that I did not like was the Zeta. I love the Zeta and was stoked to see it as a GR but it SUCKS. All of the others so far you will really like. The GP01 either one the full burn or regular they are both really nice kits. The shield even have a special hand grip so that the GP01 can hold the shield straight out in front of him. It is a good kit get them both, once you have done one of them you will want the other.

Thanks for all the feedback! I think ill get the GP01 RG then; was worried that the fighte gimmick would make the entire kit "fragile". I've had these issues with the RG Red Frame; parts coming off, or loose; had to glue some of the smallers parts. They do feel quite fragile thats why I wasnt sure which kit to get next. But I do love the detail and articulation of the RG especially the scale 1/144.

If anybody has any bad experience with the GP01, by all means, kindly let me know I'd hate to get nasty surprises!

??The red frame is a sturdy kit. Let me guess it was the waist that was giving you problems, right. It allways came apart and you couldn't keep the waist together? Was that the problem.

The only reason I ask is that the directions are not super clear on that part. I found that there is a certain way that the waist goes together. one way and it is lose as hell, but if you flip the part it is nice and tight. I have the Red, Blue, and Gold, they are all really the same kit but they are really sturdy and very possible.

To be clear and fair, it only comes apart when I start to pose it and move the parts. The toes and heels parts keep coming off, so I just glued them on. The waist also pops out quite often when I try to reposition the body. Then the shoulders too; I'm not sure if its the kit or I'm just heavy handed. I havent had problems with the Exia though.

When i get back to the house I will post a few pictures on this thread for you and show you how to fix the waist issue if that is cool with you. It's an easy fix. When my brother showed me I felt stupid for not seeing it myself, it is that simple. I haven't had a problem with the shoulders, but now that you mention it the toes do tend to be a bit lose on the red but not the others.

Re: Next RG Kit for Collection

Common issue with the RGs, something about that waist is confusing. If fits together the wrong way and the right way well. Basically, if it keeps falling apart at the waist, you have the lower part on backwards. I had this issue with my RG Freedom and it took me about a month to diagnose what was going on. Now I double check the waist of any RG I am putting together. It is super simple to get the waist put together backwards. That is what my brother is referring to. As for which RG after the Gp01, go with the MkII either the Titans or AEUG(AUEG???) version. It has to be, hands down, the best RG out there. Sturdy, well designed. great articulation, parts stay on, lots of extras... I could just go on and on about the greatness of the MkII RG!!! Hell, it was so good, they used the frame for the Sinanju

I've only built the Exia and wing zero custom. I have the Sinanju and 00 and 00q on the backlog. 00 has had amazing reviews and looks amazing. The wing 0 custom is good, but I can't say it's as good looking or fun as the Exia.

MAY THE GODS OF ALL THAT IS HOLY BRING SHAME UPON YOU FOR THAT REMARK!! The wing 0 is one of the coolest looking suits! well IMO anyway LOL The 00 riser is a really great build. Very sturdy and has great possibility. I'm just a bit board with the Exia, but that is just me.

Lol. It's just my opinion. Wing is still a great RG. Only thing that I have found is the backpack HAS to be glued in or it will fall off.

Strange, mine is almost too tight of a fit. I had a hard time getting it to attach.
