Another one done! Well, part of a dio, but the model itself is done!

    Just checking the depth...

An epic collection, man. Very nice job on the DX, the color scheme came out nicely. Well done, sir!

We need fire support! Guntank done. Like my other recent completed builds, this was hand-painted and weather. I experimented with some different weathering techniques and wash techniques, and I think it came out pretty well.

Thanks! I spent a while trying to figure out how to do them lol Finally settled on the same base coat as the wheels, then an all over wash of gloss brown. Then on the outside a wash of Vallejo Black, wiped down after a minute. The inside got a double wash of black, left to dry.

Vintage 1:144 GM Cannon! I decided to go with the North American Front type, and I like the outcome. Plenty to improve on for the next one, but it's a pretty solid start. I wanted a more dynamic pose than "just kinda standing there", so I had to build a base for it to stay on! And, since I use most of my kits for skirmish wargaming, it's technically the first miniature I've properly based :P

    0082: After War part 1

    The scene:
The remains of a EFGF tank, poised on the edge of the river where it caught a burst from a Zaku machine gun years ago. Slowly rusting away, forgotten, like the reasons for war.

And its done! 1/144 scale (12 mm) Type 61 tank diorama, about 2 months worth of lunch breaks. For my first diorama, it went pretty well, I think! I was inspired by a picture of the Loboc river in the Philippines, and I really wanted to rust something up.

    Materials:
M61A5 Tank from the 1/144 HGUC Zaku Ground War set
    4"x6" photo frame
    Styrofoam
    Lightweight spackle (filler)
    Citadel Stirland Battlemire
    Green Stuff (Kneaditite)

    Glues:
    Citadel Plastic Glue
    Wood glue
    PVA glue
    Tacky glue

    Water:
Woodland Scenics Realistic Water with the Olive Drab Water Tint
    Woodland Scenics Water Ripples

    Greenery:
    Army Painter Ash Grey Flock
    Army Painter Steppe Grass
    Woodland Scenics Blended Turf Flock
    Oregano
Woodland Scenics Woodland Classics Palm Trees
Woodland Scenics Woodland Classics Water's Edge Trees
Woodland Scenics Mixed Green Ready Made Value Pack Trees

    Paints:
    Vallejo Surface Primer Black
    Apple Barrel Burnt Umber
    Apple Barrel Cinnamon
    Apple Barrel Black
    Citadel Zandri Dust
    Citadel Ushabti Bone
    Citadel Agrax Earthshade

Thanks! I put a lot of work into it, and I'm really happy with how it came out.

That looks great! I really like how the ripples came out with the water.

Good job, over all I really like this one. The water, tank and background trees are great, just not that keen on the palm trees.

When you doing your next dio?

    Re: Scorn's Hangar

Thanks! Considering the time I had to spend on getting the water flat, I'm glad it came out well The palms are there because of the inspiration photo, and someone from the region said it reminded him of his home, so I'll take it! Next time I'll work on making my own instead of buying them, but I was really getting done with it lol

I've got a few small projects queued up, but part two of this dio will be a Zaku II Kai, crashed into the side of a cliff on the other side of the river. So probably not for a few months but more land sculpting in addition to the water.
