    Scorn's Hangar

Hiya - I've been snapping gunpla for a while now, but I only recently started getting into full up paint jobs. I'd really appreciate some tips and feedback - it's easy to overlook your own mistakes! I'm planning on having a few images of my most recent build, and just one with an album link for older ones.

    MOST RECENT

    HGAC Double X

My first foray into Alclad. I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out, although once I finished I started noticing all the places I didn't fill properly or sand down enough.

    Full album here: http://s241.photobucket.com/user/Sco...ouble%20X%20HG

    OLDER

    MG Kitbash NT-X1 Corsair

First airbrushed kit, using Tamiya acrylics. Album here: http://s241.photobucket.com/user/Sco...202014/Corsair

    MG Kampfer

Rattle cans and Future top coat. http://s241.photobucket.com/user/Sco...library/Plague

    1/144 NG Strike

Modded into a reasonable facsimile of a Strike Dagger.

1/144 Old Grade Full Armor Gundam

A few extra bits attached, album here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...XFXOUVmLXl0NTQ

I'll add more as I unearth photos and update the Most Recent as I make new ones. Thanks for taking a look!

1/144 Super Custom Zaku F2000, eh, Custom!

Mostly paint markers, made a custom beam gun for the left arm, and upgraded the sub arm weaponry. Album here: http://s241.photobucket.com/user/Sco...2/Zaku%20F2000

Sorry for the poor photos - I was still getting the hang of taking model photos back in 2012. I've since traded this guy out for another kit, but I'm really pleased with how it came out

    Damn spiffy.
"Pssssssst...Hey you...yeah you...No, THE OTHER you, yeah, YOU, see that person sitting next to you...yeah, that one right there, light them on fire."

    "Cover me, I'm going stupid."

"I've seen Hockey games where boxing breaks out, I want to go to a boxing match and watch Hockey break out."

    Re: Scorn's Hangar

Thanks! While there are things I'd probably do differently now, I'm still pretty happy with how they came out.

    MG RX-79 [G] Custom

This was my first real full up paint job, all with Gundam markers. The camo was freehand with the Gundam weathering markers. It was also my first big custom, with additional fuel tanks and lines, bonus missile launchers and a large articulated booster plate in the rear. I made this back in 2008 or so.

I would say now you need to start showing of your work in some great poses and pictures taken useing good lights and a back screen. You got some nice work, so show it off.

Thanks! I've been planning on making a photo booth area in my workshop - although I've been saying that for a while now. Time to actually get off my duff and do it, I suppose!

How was the Super Custom to build? I keep looking at the kit but not buying for some reason.

Really straightforward - there aren't too many annoying seams, and you get about 2 kits worth of parts (since it's based on the Zaku II F2 which is based on the Zaku II, which means lots of bonus parts in the box). The missiles were annoying to paint, but overall a really solid kit.

Thanks! Which one do you mean by the MG GM? I've got two that are RX-79[G] based, but none are technically GM based

Another one I'll call done! HG GM, hand painted and cannon added. Very light weathering, but tried for some muzzle burn and metal heating on the guns. Enjoy!
