    MG powered GM - question

Heya, was thinking of preordering the MG Powered GM from GGinfinite, and I noticed that the price is about the same as a non PBandai MG. My question is, is the price only for a preorder, or is it the set price for when it will come out?

I've heard that PBandai kits go for sometimes twice the listed price outside of Japan, so I want to be sure I want to leap on it or not.

    Thanks!

Re: MG powered GM - question

Its so cheap because it uses a really old MG as the base. Go with GenteiKits instead of GG. GG has problems sometimes, and there are plenty of people who get screwed over. That might just be the preorder price. After it comes out, he'll probably bump it up 10 bucks. The reason they jump in price is they are made in limited batches. Bandai generally makes enough plus a certain number more to meet preorders.

Thank you for the reply, and advice Squee. When you say it's based off an old MG... How ancient is it?
This'll be my first P Bandai purchase and I wanna make sure to cover all my bases.

From all i've heard/seen its made using the 2002 MG GM Type C as the base kit with armor/weapon differences. Link to dalong's review of the kit: http://dalong.net/review/mg/m50/mg50_i.htm

That being said, its a freaking Powered GM, its worth it! lol

It appears to use the ground type GM C Nd not the space version. Which means it won't have the parts for the long rifle and it is a little shorter than the space C type.
