    Pierate's mediocre workshop

    Yay, a WIP thread!

Starting this to keep motivation up and receive comments, or something like that.

What you can expect: A mix of OOB builds, hand painted builds and customized builds. A little bit of everything pretty much.

With that out of the way, here's my current project, HGUC Gerbera Tetra:

The plan is OOB with hand painted details and finally a flat top coat. I've done my best to get rid of seamlines and nubmarks and whatnot but it's not perfect.

I have a couple projects planned after this one, with the next one also being an OOB build, so stay tuned.

Started tossing some paint onto the Gerbera Tetra, doing some washes and drybrusing one the grey/frame parts. The picture doesn't show the real life result all that well so I'll try to get some better ones next time.

Also started a bit on my next project, not the project I was going to do next but I really want to do a fully painted build next.

Will be going for a mostly standard paint scheme for this one, with a slight twist.

Righto, been sick but I've got all the pieces ready for top coating (pictures only show a small selection ofcourse):

Overall I'm pleased with how it's looking and I'm pretty excited to see the finished result. I'll do my best to get some better photos when it's finished aswell.

Anyway, this means I can spend more time on the gold frame.

Just the backpack left to assemble for this guy before the pre-painting process begins, probabbly have to do some puttying on this.

Anyway, the plan is to get some top coat onto the Tetra tomorrow, then I'll try to get some nice pictures of it next week.

    Thanks for the comments.

I am really liking the Gerbera Tetra though, the drybrushing is sweet.

    Thanks guys.

Got the Tetra top coated today:

Accidently broke one of it's ankles during assembly but I glued it so that's fine, glued a few other pieces aswell to make it sturdier.
Better pictures will come soon and then I'll start my next OOB build and continue working on the gold frame.

Great work on the Tetra. The top coat is smooth and clean. And the dry brushing looks excellent.

    Thanks!

So I got it all assembled and snapped some pictures:

Head over to my gallery thread for more: Clicky here

Luckily the top coat worked quite well for hiding any mistakes and visible seams as long as you don't look too close, very happy with the result.
