Blue Destiny getting (another) Manga adaption

Um odd news. (This is usually where a Good News! would do)

So apparently the old adaption only covered 2/3rds of the game(s) story line. And this is gonna go though all of it and make some changes, usually I wouldn't mention something like this, but seeing as some people (my self included since it's ripe for kits and such) have questioned why BD hasn't been animated, I think the odds are shooting up now. Mainly because it seems the trend is to animate UC works for OVAs these past five years. (Unicorn, then the Origin and then the upcoming Thunderbolt)

Plus with the upcoming EXAM Efreet RE/100 it just seems...interesting.

    New GM and EXAM Efreet:

    Blue Destiny Unit 0:

I mean this may end up being nothing in the scheme of things but thought I'd bring it up for interested parties.

I am all for this. The Blue Destiny has always been a favorite of mine. I have the Manga and love reading it from time to time. So I would love to finally see it animated.

    Which one?

I assume you mean the Dominance.

Its clearly based on the GM Sniper II, which is a good thing since its the most powerful OYW GM.

Not posting superior white dingo colors

But yes I meant Sniper II most people just default to of because aside from the [G] Sniper people forget about the others, and it obviously isn't [G] based.

That said wonder if it has some sort of system the Pale Rider was based on the Sniper II as well and had the HADES.

Wonder if its some sort of EXAM test bed, that or it could just be modified to keep up with the bd units ala how the jesta was originally made to keep up with and escort the unicorn after the pilot and suit were wore down post ntd.

I'm with you. BD has always been one of my favorite series along with 8th ms and white dingo. I have the first/ only US publication of BD I hope this will actually complete the story. I so know how the series ends but I would like to have a complete set of books and hopefully some new kits as well.

You know, the EXAM Efreet line art looks a lot like the RE/100 Efreet. So you might have a point to this. I owned the manga back when I was in junior high. So I am all for seeing Blue Destiny returning to the scene.

I want to see how they do the BD. The BD is tied with the Ez8 as my all time favorite ground unit. Looking forward to this, it always bugged me how the English adaption of the manga did that horrible mirror view. Shields in the right hand... SACRILEGE!

Yeah, that was made in the early days of English adapted manga. I have an example of that printing style too, a copy of Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 by Kazuhisa Kondo that was published by Viz back in February 2002.

I don't see it being changed too much from what it is, hell the Effreet just had the line art modernized to keep in line with the kit, and the other two recent efreets (Schinid and Nacht) and its portrayal in the exvs and side stories something the BD1 has already had. Well and the swords on the back but that's not a major change.

My question is what's up with the blue destiny zero? I mean the doctor who made the EXAM was recently defected from zeon and the bd was made rather quickly...why did they waste time on a prototype?

Oh well hopefully this leads to BD2 and 3 getting more love, especially 2.
