    MG Nataku Coming Soon!

Found this juicy tidbit of information over at Gundam Kits Collection. Bandai will be releasing a MG version of the Gundam Nataku from the Endless Waltz OVA sometime in December. Yay, right? Well, there's a big catch....

    I hate Bandai sometimes.

I was never a huge fan of Wu Feis suits so this is an easy skip for me.

With the way things are going, it looks like Bandai is really pushing for the EW versions that aren't ver ka's as P-Online kits. I can only imagine the complaining if this keeps going lol

Only one I truly wanted, I already have. Tallgeese III. I make custom make a Nataku from a Shenlong Ver Ka and my piece of garbage 1/100 HG Nataku.

Yeah? That might be something for me to try, as this new MG version will probably cost an arm and leg, lol. I think I might have tossed my old HG Nataku though... Man that thing was crap.

I hated Wufei with a passion, but his suits were pretty neat.

Yep, it's all slowly building, Squee. First the TII, then the TIII, now the Nataku. I wonder how long it'll take to boil over, because I'm almost certain there's a lot of unhappy Gunplars out there right now, myself included. In a related note, I can almost bet that Bandai will make either the add-on Armadillo parts for Sandrock, or a whole new Sandrock Armadillo kit, a P-Bandai exclusive. I can just feel it coming.

Likewise, the only EW kit I really want was already released (Deathscythe Hell. Why don't I own one already? Because I'm stupid.) but man, I would really love to see Armadillo parts for the Sandrock.

    Re: MG Nataku Coming Soon!

That would be neat indeed. Though I'm wondering if Sandrock would have trouble standing with the extra weight. Then again, that's what makes the heat shotels so handy, lol.

What I don't get is, why release some kits, not just from Wing but other series as well, that are readily available to the general public, but release others kits from a particular series as P-Bandai? Take the Tallgeese III. That was a P-Bandai item, so not a lot of people got one, but you can sure as hell bet that if it were a general release that it would sell extremely well. People love them some 'Geese!

Bandai bases their choices on surveys of the Japanese market (the only one they care about), from online surveys, store sales, convention feedback, etc. In many interviews, Xavier from Bluefin has stated that, (paraphrasing) though many Americans LOVE wing, America is a very small market for Gundam. Its literally like 1% of their total sales, if even that high.

^ That makes sense. But we Americans need more gundam lovin'! I realize the Japanese market is the only one Bandai truly cares about, but think of how much of a sales boost they would get if they were more involved in getting gundam/gunpla popular, or at least more than "just a fad" here in the US and North America in general. I know it'll probably never happen, but I can still hope.

Would totally agree with you, as squee stated were only 1% , gunpla has to be mainstream here in the us so we can be heard of (hopefully). P bandai is only intended for the japanese and asian markets. Period no ifs buts and ands.

Glad you agree Shogun! North America needs to be heard, Bandai!

At any rate, just as I suspected, according to Gundam Planet, they want a freakin' arm and a leg for this thing - Gundam Planet has the price at $94.95! So looks like I won't be getting this one, especially when I can get creative and do my first kitbash with a MG Shenlong EW and old HG Nataku for a lot less. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what Bandai did, LOL!

    Re: MG Nataku Coming Soon!

Thank you much for that link, Asterisk - I used google to figure out how much Gentei's price for Altron is in US Dollars. $55.85 sounds a shitload better than $94.95, lol!

How's their service? How long does it usually take to get your order?

    Re: MG Nataku Coming Soon!

I ordered a Pale Rider from them. It was a bit less than 2 weeks between its release and when I got it; I'm on the east coast, so it might be quicker for you. Anyhow, the only catch is they didn't let me know when it shipped, so I didn't even know if I'd made it in the first batch of pre-orders or not.

    Regardless, I recommend them.
