I like what you did with the rifle, and the head's looking good. Not bad at all.

    Re: Hooliopaulio's WiP thread

    Thanks for the comments DMD.

So I said I wasn't going to do anything tonight, but my hands turned out to not be very sore at all. So I began to cut the torso pieces, then got a little side tracked. Another first for me in Gundam building, I attempted to paint the little figures of the pilot which I've never tried before. I usually just glue them in, leaving them as the plastic they were moulded in.

Not a terrible job, considering they are tiny. The penny is reference for my non Gundam experienced family and friends, so they get an idea of scale.

So I've now added some black detail lines to the pilot figure, and done some detailing on the cockpit.

    Re: Hooliopaulio's WiP thread

Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying getting back into building, and now I'm older I have way more patience. I'm really enjoying just taking my time. The next set of torso parts have been prepped and cleaned last night, and are drying on top of my PC ready for primer tonight hopefully.

Mostly painted, just a lick of dark grey for the inside of the cockpit doors to do, then a day or two to cure properly so construction can begin.

So, construction on the legs has begun. Last night I completed the feet. Tried to detail the thrusters a little.

Indeed, your progress is looking better and better. The detailing on the feet looks nice. Way better than without it, that's for sure.

Thanks guys, its coming together slowly but surely. No mishaps as yet, which has surprised even me, being such a long time since my last build.

How's the feel of the kit? Pretty solid so far?

Yeah very solid. A little too solid, took a chunk of paint off while trying to get one of the waist armour pieces clipped in, a little ball joint job. Luckily the scuff doesn't appear to be visible, and I plan on permanently fixing the shroud armour in place and posing it on my stand anyway, so not too worried.

Joints feel fairly stiff (I've not painted them btw). They would probably be a little too stiff as the standard suit, but I imagine with the shroud armour in place the extra weight will require the extra stiffness for nice posing on the stand. We shall see when finished.

Shoulders are painted and assembled. Loving my new brushes, the shoulders have an awesome finish compared to the rest. Luckily, the difference is only noticeable close up, and with the shroud armour on people probably won't tell, so I don't have to strip and repaint
