Yep thats what a lot of modelers use, particularly in aircraft.

Added the yellow wing tips and started to build it up and managed to snap a peg for his left arm, so that is going to need a pin and glue. Still want to tint the canopy. Added some weights to the legs but the dame thing is still wobbly as hell. Should finish toughing up the paint this weekend.

Looks awesome, though I personally would have preferred it Hayate Immelman colors.

Not much building going on at my place for a few months, as im on with making the garage a bit more room like with painted wall and ceiling and a real floor but i have 11 years of crop to get rid of first. Anyway just before i dismantle the work area im trying to get the decals on this finished.

    Re: RPC's WIP ~ my first MG's

I have not been building much in the way of Gumdan but have been putting together a 1/32 that is going to have a Cal look custom job on it, cut down bumper, lowered, 356 wheels that sort of thing. I have also made a good start o the Gonk. He now has a few extra parts added, override switch a new plug etc and im looking through the parts box ti see if i can come up with a power unit to plug him into.

And the Gonk as he stands at the moment.

A little bashing and the Gonk has a sub station to plug into. Just ordered the Bandai R2 and R5 to go along side.

It's amazing how you can kitbash a few pieces of plastic and BOOM, instant Star Wars architecture.

Cheers with a bit of imagination and if you squint it looks a bit Star Wars.....

So i wanted to give a chipping effect ago on this but only have the Vallejo solution and my top coat is going to be tamiya. So going to have a go with good old salt and water. Sprayed the rust colours and a bit of chrome then given it a gloss coat to protect base paints.

Heh, now it's starting to look like something you might find on Tatoonie.

Cool glad to have you onboard.

I still have the legs and feet to paint but just couldn't resist making a start on the weathering. I very pleased with how the rusty pannel come out.
