Lucky. Lol. And nice man. U use mark softer and setter? Ive never used them myself but they seem crazy useful.

I use both softener and setter all the time. they work great when you are trying to put a decal on a curved part or with a line running through it. The stuff makes the decals super soft and bendy then you through the setter on it and done they harden up real nice.

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

New build going on now. I'm back in the truck so no painting yet. I started a new RG the other day. The RG 00 TRANS AM.
    [IMG][/IMG]

Pro and con of this build so far. Pro: well it is a 00 TRANS AM nuf said on that. It is that same as the other RG 00 so nothing different or better/worse that that one it is just in the TRANS AM coloring. CON: the coloring it self. As well as it is, it has a few flaws. The molding has a glitter effect witch is cool but the way it was done no matter how careful you are the nubs always show. See the picture.
    [IMG][/IMG]
I cut the parts off the runner with a bit of runner still on the part then I sand down to the piece. As you can see the nub mark is in the molding. Also if you get this kit be ready to do a boat load of sanding. If I paint it I would lose the cool TRANS AM effect but if you don't paint you will always see the nubs. GRRRRR! When I get back to the house I am going to paint the frame and give the armor a good shinning with a high gloss finish. The frame is what looks to me as though they were going for a Steel look to it. It is two different colors, it just doesn't do it for me. So I will paint it a steel/magnesium. Here is how it is looking so far.

I tried to get more done today but my light burnt out and I haven't hit a Walmart to get a new one. Kind of pissed me off a bit.

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

Well I'm back to building in the truck. My gravy run ran out, so back over the road we go. this has not stopped me. I finally decided that it is time to get going with one of my PG kits. Tired of being scared to start one so I said F**k it and just dove right in. This is my first PG and I'm working on the RX78 GP01/FB. Let me know what you all thinks so far.

As you can see, it gets a bit cramped in the truck when you are working on a PG. But that's half the fun right?!??

Love the GP01! The FB version...not so much, lol. The great thing about that kit is you have the option to build either one, so that's a big plus. And I totally see what you mean by PG's taking up space. I'm not building mine in a truck, mind you, but the box with runners splayed out everywhere takes up a good chunk of room on my bed, lol.

Just curious, have you encountered any metal parts so far? I ask because my dad built a WZC PG years ago (early 2000's) and it had a bunch of metal parts on it. I take it Bandai doesn't do this anymore?

this kit only has 1 metal part and that is only the waist part to hold the legs together. As for the space issue. Well this kit has a box A and a box B and tons of runners. I just pull out the runners that I need for the part I'm working on. Still it makes for runners everywhere.

Damn those Zakus look like they've been through hell lol. And I love hearing about dead GMs. I cant wait to see it. And the progress on the GP02 looks damn good.

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

Thanks Zaku. I half to admit when I started to do the "battle damage" on the Zakus it was a bit of "is that enough? just one more hole or scrape. OK just one more". I wasn't sure when to stop and I kind of got carried away, But in the end they have just enough to get the point across. They won. end of statement, They won.

Barbatos looks cool! been kind of on the fence about getting one. I would definitely have to buy the extra weapons pack to go with it. He looks naked without the big gun Legs on the PG look amazing!!!
