At least what you got done is looking darn pretty. Seriously, it looks good.

Dlinker Thank you. I was thinking, I'm a damn MARINE we don't just give up WTH! Did Chesty give up at the frozen chosen! Hell no He didn't. I can do this for Chesty. we trudge on and make the best of what we have, with what we have. So that being said. I'm waiting on the primer for the white pearl, and I'm painting the "yellow" parts the crappy yellow parts a bright pearl gold then I will do a final assembly minus the neck and chest top. here is what we have so far.

Um, i have to disagree about the 1/100 Kyshatriya that you linked. That's the Elyn Kyshatriya, and nearly everyone who owns it regrets it. Parts don't fit, led wiring breaks, and it needs a ton of work. I have the resin kit its based off of under my bench, and its slightly bigger than the MG Sazabi.

On another note, i like how your silver is a bit uneven, it has a real metal sheen to it! Looks great!

Squee: I have herd both good and bad. I really haven't touched that kit yet, it is in Florida, I'm in Baltimore. I have herd some who love it, not building it but after they are done they love it. And I have herd just as you said it suck big donkey turds. Ether way I'm gonna give it a shot... someday.
Thank for the comment about the metal. That was an unplanned out come. I painted gold first did my masking then painted the Magnesium and it gave a kind of pre-shading effect. thanks brother.

A little up date on another model that I'm working on. This thread will become my "What ever I'm building at the moment" Thread. So here is the beginning of the diorama for the Terminator Hunter Killer tank.

    Is that the Pegasus model?

Diorama work looks really good so far. How did you make the tracks?

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

Yes that is the Pegasus model. For the tracks I put the treads on the body of the tank to get the correct width. Then I just put the treads in a strait line on the wet plaster and pushed them in to get the effect of the weight of the tank pushing the mud out.

Dlinker: I have all but one part painted and ready. Next I'm getting the wiring set for the fiber optics and the LEDs. I' still learning the LED thing. I have a book "getting started with Arduino" so I will be able to program and run my own LEDs. I should have the tank together and wired up by the end of the month.

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

O.K. an update is in order. It has been a good long time since I have been on this sight, let alone work on my Gundams. Dad had major back surgery and I had to take care of family first. Then I moved my girl up here, from Florida to Baltimore, to help take care of my Dad. Long story short I have gotten back to work pictures will be up some time tomorrow. I'm about 99.9% done with my Proto Zero, and man I like the way it is coming out. A few flaws in it but that is how you get better. So back to work building a light box so I can take better pics of my kits.

As promised update pictures are in.

As you can see in the last picture the "white" was painted with alclad prismatic jade. the original idea of painting the white parts in pearl went out the window lacquer paint and acrylic paint were not making friends so I went all lacquer and used alclad on the whole kit. Still working on working with a light box so the lighting is not the best, sorry. I still have decals and clear coat to go but that is all.
Here are the weapons and shield.

Damn thats nice. I really really love the way those rifles look. Usually im all about making lead gundams look anime accurate but those rifles are sexy. What gold did you use its the perfect shade. Really like the pearl white and metallic blue and red. Id like to jack this paint job and do up my PG wing zero custom just like this.

Re: Wing Proto Zero 00, I'm finally back!

the hole thing is done in Alclad. The white is Prismatic Jade, unfortunately they have discontinued that shade. i only have 2 bottles left. As for the Gold it is pail Gold Alclad. This kit is kind of in the anime colors just really shinny! and a bit more matalic but I stuck with the red white and blue. Now just waiting for samuel decals to get here, the kit came with freekin' stickers and we all know how much they SUCK! then I can give it a final coat of clear gloss and be done with him and on to other kits.

If you look close at the rifles you can see that the vents I actually drilled out the vents then used Gold "bare metal" to wrap the piping. So the vents are a bit brighter than the other gold on the rifle. The effect looks better in person, but I think you can see it in the pictures.

Where do you buy your paint? And I do see that on the rifle looks good. And did you get dry transfers or water slides.

I have a Hobby shop here called Hobby World. They carry all kinds of paint, in fact if they don't have and I want it they will get it. I'm good friends with the manager he is the VP of the model group I belong to. As for the decals, I got the water slides. Dry transfers you can't move around if you mess up.
