    Guess I misread that article.

If no one is aware of it the Godzilla Resurgence trailer was released about a month ago. The Japanese release date is July 29th of this year. Honestly, I feel like this new Godzilla looks kind of derpy creepy.

I've see it. I really love how long the tail is. Reminds me of the Heisei/Biollante suit's tail (although obviously more messed up looking). Not a fan of the arms though; they look way too small/skinny in comparison to the rest of him.

Arms aside, the "suit" (Because ShinGoji isn't really a suit.) Doesn't look bad, just a little derpy to me.

Re: Godzilla, Gamera, and other Kaiju movies.

Return of Godzilla (aka Godzilla 1985) has been licensed for a US DVD/Blu-Ray release by Kraken (a label of Sentai/Section 23/neo-ADV). The Heisei series will be completely available in the US for the first time since the VHS days. This is a major win.

I forgot to mention that the Sept. 13 release of Return of Godzilla will include both the uncut subtitled Japanese version of the film as well as a dubbed version (no word on if the dub is the Toho produced international dub or the heavily edited Godzilla 1985 version made by New World Pictures).

Re: Godzilla, Gamera, and other Kaiju movies.

The misconception about the new Godzilla is that this is the first of 3 stages that he will go through in the movie. That has been stated many times. Also he is more like the 54 Godzilla was ment to be. The small arms and all. If you watch the 54 Godzilla film you will notice that the actor kept the arms really close to the body. If fact he did that to make the arms look smaller than they were. This is more of a transitional phase of the big guy. Over the years Godzilla arms got bigger to meet the threats that he faced and it just made the fights easier to make and film. Someday when we get a bootleg copy of the film we will have all the answers but until then all we can do from our side of the pond is watch and wish

So the sequel to Godzilla (2014) has a name now: King of the Monsters. And oh man, we are in for a showdown: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...idorah/.117711. A battle royal between three of Godzilla's most famous nemesis? Count me in!

Right there with you! I just hope they don't mess it up and try to cram to much in to fast. You know like say, Spiderman III ! I realize that these monsters have been in movies together before, but lets be honest the movies were not that great. Yes they were Godzilla movies but the monsters were well established in the series so it ws more of a team movie. like "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" was one of the better attempts to get all of them in one movie, but like I said all of the monsters were already well know to have fought each other before. Also going off of the last movie (Godzilla '14) how are they going to have 4 big monsters fight when the big G only gets a bit less than 5 minutes of screen time. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big G fan ever sinse I was able or walk, (seriously I had a big Godzilla that was bigger than me and I carried it everywhere. No blanky for me, I had Godzilla.) But I'm not holding my breath that this will be the epic film that they are trying to make it out to be.

Also don't forget the first Godzilla anime movie coming out!!

It's been so long since I've watched any Godzilla movie I couldn't tell you.

I do love me some Godzilla, thanks to my dad owning a fair amount of the older Godzilla movies. Heisei series may be my favorite but my favorite rendition of Godzilla is the one used in Godzilla 2000. There's just something about him that looks so awesome compared to the past renditions of him.

Re: Godzilla, Gamera, and other Kaiju movies.

    Hail to the King:

My guess as to why they are calling them Titans instead of Kaijuu is probably to not confuse audiences into thinking that these creatures are comparable to the Kaijuu in Pacific Rim, and to draw more parallels to the Gods of old (if you know your Greek mythology, you know that before Olympus there were the Titans).
