I can still feel the seam. And i can see it. ITS DRIVING ME MMMAAADDDD!!! I like the surfacer primer idea though. Does it melt the plastic a bit?

Hmmm, I don't think it melts the plastic the same way Tamiya Basic Putty does, but it is solvent-based and stinks like death so maybe it does do so to some degree. I use it from time to time to fill in gaps/scratches. I basically keep putting some on the affected area until it's a nice bump, then sand it so it's level to the surface.

I just noticed the nub mania on that Gouf. Poor guy needs some work, haha.

Use your knife to scrape the large excess off, then fold your sandpaper into a pointed triangle shape to get into the tight spaces.

U know what. I started to at it with my knife. Then i got cold feet because i didnt want to gouge out the sides. But now that you say that i think ill try it. And just be VERY VERY CAREFUL. And if i screw it up then ill just call it extra battle damage and move on. Lol

What would cause enamel paint to not dry? Like ever.

Enamel can get aggravating at times. As it takes a lot longer to cure than other paints. How long has the paint been applied for?

Enamels can possible take up to a week to fully cure. Just because it's dry to the touch, it's not necessarily cured. You shouldn't touch an enamel part for at least 48 hours.

From testors site, which has this description for a bunch of different paint brands:

Enamels require 48-72 hours for a full cure. To avoid possible wrinkling, recoat within 3 hours or after 48 hours.

So wait three days. It could be do to the weather in your area. I've had to wait a week once for it to cure.

Ok i decided to work on the weathered shoulder a bit more. I shimmed the shoulder armor mounting bracket with some scrap plastic i had laying around and i got it to fit onto the Zaku 1.0 part im making into the shoulder frame. The holes on the mounting bracket is a bit to big so i shimed that with spare RC helicopter parts. Its the little brass circle.

Shame about the enamel. I like the additions to the weathered arm. It adds a lot.

Yea im not sure whats up with that. Its still a little sticky. And thanks man. I think it looks a hellava lot better. The shoulder armor frame is left over from the Gouf 2.0. So im not out anything if i screw it up. I think im going to add some small wires coming out to add more realistic detail.

Ok guys. I might have bitten off more than i can chew.

I am right now trying to instal an LED into the head of my Gelgoog. and on top of that i want to keep the heat rotation eye gimmick functioning. I have a vague idea of how im going to do this but im very confident ill screw it up. However i needed to buy a new. MG Gelgoog anyway so i can afford to fu** it up once. Then again i want to buy another Zaku 2.0 so i can swipe the eye parts out of my gouf if i screw up and when i get a new Zaku give Gouf the new eye. Ill post pics of the progress here in a second.
