    Re: Latest Kit Acquisitions!

Got both the Wing Gundam Fenice and its support unit the Meteor Hopper.

I'm super tempted to buy the upcoming Machine Rider and have a Hell's Angels style line-up of motorcycle riding Gundams.

    Do it!

The Meteor Hopper's a fun kit, but filling in the gaps and painting the "tire" was a pain in the butt.

Having finished it just now, I think it stands just fine on its own so I won't bother doing any extra work.

I do hope the upcoming Machine Rider has actual functioning tyres unlike the Meteor Hopper, since the Grimoire RB released a few months ago had wheels that actually worked.

Yeah, that'd be nice. As long as the rubber/plastic doesn't split over time.

    Re: Latest Kit Acquisitions!

First time I've made it to the semi-local hobby shop (Hobbytown USA in South Point, Ohio) in ages, so I had to come back with something. Granted, I'm more of a Zeon kinda guy, but Powered GM with more guns...and come on, I'm honestly surprised it took me this long to get one of the GM Sniper IIs.

Also found it kinda chuckle-worthy that they've started putting their price tags over top the yen price on the box, almost like someone's been price-checking them!

It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. At least, that's what I keep telling myself with all my modeling supplies...

Nope, I'm proud of my RPG fetish! Shoulda seen the pile before I needed to make a quick display...6 bestiaries plus 3 NPC books, not to mention the Core book AND an adventure path book for reference.

Same here; would have liked to see the Cardigan with a lot more screen time. The Powered GM has always been one of my favorite grunts, and adding more guns just made it so much more awesome.

Six bestiaries?! Man, any party on that adventure's in for a TPK.

Anyway, add me to the legion of voices who believe that Cardigan was underused. Give us a slick painted and weathered build to make us feel better?

You want to talk about TPK? My brother, who is really into D&D 5E, has for quite some time now floated the idea of running the Tomb of Horrors (the minimum character level for that dungeon is 14).

That name alone is enough to send a chill down my spine. I never made it out alive.

Well, the campaign I'm doing is something of a "Shadow over Sandpoint", using the Rise of the Runelords town setting with a Lovecraftian theme. Seemed the perfect place for something like that.

I'm definitely thinking of repainting the Cardigan into a different color scheme, though I'm not sure about weathering; it would be something new to try, certainly. I do need to attempt that one of these days...

They're for cutting styrene sheets/pieces for scratch building.
