It doesn't get enough love?? Hell it doesn't even get a second glance let alone lovin' and that is so sad. Like you said for a suit that was only in the show for a brief moment it was such a cool design and such a cool suit.

the flame paintjob doe not really fit an MS in my eyes. it would look better on a muscle car or truck where there is more flat surface area. it lust looks odd on an MS.
Damn that Z'Gok is sick. id like to see this thing gut some GMs.

Gotta disagree. If these were real things that would look incredible on a multistory robot.

Flames are really hard to paint and look good. I think they did a great job on it. And Prime has flames and they looked pretty bad ass, well for a Bayformer that is. So those flames like squee said would look good on a giant robot/MS.

Those flames are sick, I like how they're a bit more subtle than just like racing flames. But hot damn that Zgok

I forgot to say, that Zgok won Orazaku this year. Pretty much the cream of the crop among modelers.

So the US champion for the GBWC (Gunpla Builder's World Cup) has been unveiled, and wow...

That is nothing short of spectacular. This is truly what happens when one marries Gunpla with art. This piece is titled Sorcerer and it was modeled by Zhiming Gao. Whomever you are Zhiming, you truly are an inspiration for all US Gunpla Builders. Go knock out the competition dead!

Eww. That's a case of way too much going on at the same time.

Apparently it was enough to impress the judges. I mean after all, art is subjective. Here were the runner-ups:

    2nd place

    3rd place

That Turn-X should've won. Looks almost like parts of it were carved from some maple wood.

I got into an argument on fb about this. That Turn X is a pretty blatant attempt at emulating an existing turn X. i was told Kawaguchi is okay with it, but the US rules clearly state no works copying others works lol

Just for reference, Here's the original done in 2014

    https://www.gundamkitscollection.com...-detailed.html

I only noticed it because i had these pics saved in my inspiration folder, i wanted to do a similar idea to my Turn X. But i would NEVER enter it in a contest.

Gaos entry blows away the others imo. Flawless finish, moving parts in the base, with a crazy scheme.
