Excellent! I'll have to get a few. They seem quite good value too- they aren't cheap but they come in big bottles.

Would you recommend for me to dip a Gundam Model Kit piece in a bucket of paint, and then try to rub as much of the paint as possible before it dries up?

A question about reverse wash, my base is white tamiya laquer paint then enamel black paint, i tried to remove enamel black paint using enamel thinner with designer q tips, but the paint eas removed even the primer! Now i reprimed and repainted the model, then put topcoat before putting enamel, but still the topcoat gets remove, I want to have a clean finish, but since i somehow observed that when I remove the few enamel paint, i also remove the topcoat protecting it because I get white paint on my fingers, why does that happen?

Re: Paint/Topcoat Thread. This is where to ask questions. NOT new threads.

Alcald II question. I was painting my frame with Stainless steel, black closs base covered with 2 light coast of stainless steel. And it looked great! I was going to use it as the base for chipping after I put the main color on so I put Alclad II Klear coat on Like I have for their other paints. I thought no problem Klear coat it to seal it in and then I can paint over it and what now. Problem. The KLear coat took the stainless steel OFF! Now it is not really a big deal with the frame, in fact the way it mixed the Stainless stell with the Black Gloss base made for a color I really like. But if the Kear coat is actually an Alclad II stripper! What do I use when I want to top coat things like the pistons. I can not have them washing off, But I need to seal them because the high gloss paints like chrome and stainless steel come off when you handle the parts. IF you hold the parts and mover them around the chrome and what not will come off from your hands touching them. Not a good thing.

It did kind of piss me off that the Klear coat that Alclad II sells for their paints actualy takes the paint off, it does not make them shinny, it just takes them off.

I have never used the alclad clear coat, but I have used Pledge Future Floor Finish over alclad's to grest effect. The stuff is like 4 bucks for 24oz at walmart. It takes a little while to cure but it's solid and an amazing gloss coat.

Ya I have that as well I was just trying to use the stuff made for Alclad II. I think you are right thou from now on I will stick with the pledge floor wax. The only problem is the chipping, Pledge could come off when I get to the chipping.

is it advisable to pre-mix primer/paint into a bigger bottle instead of having to thin it every time ?

Not that I'm aware of. All paint will scratch, or can be scratched.
If you are talking about chipping, that is done with a brush and solvent to "Chip" the paint. You don't actually chip the paint. That would be bad.

I have done both. I have found that if I make a big batch all pre-thinned. It tends to dry out and become a semi solid mass of goop. Most thinners will evaporate really fast and leave the paint dried out and lumpy. It can be saved and brought back with more thinner, but now you are thinning the paint twice, so that is extra work and wasted thinner. I will make a big batch of a certain color that I custom mix, but I don't thin it out until I use it. And even then I only thin out one AB cup at a time. For me it is just easier to do it that way.
