Used Krylon premium chrome spray can with a Tamiya Metallic blue and metallic red spray. Ran out of the red spray so I switched to clear red handbrushing and it came out very good!

Couple of spots that chipped. But will touch those up and top coat more thoroughly.

What are you using to post your pictures? It might be a simple as doing a quick edit before you post them. Like if you are using photobucket you would just need to go in and rotate the picture before you post.

I am just posting directly from files on my computer, which are not rotated to the side, they only show up like this when I attach them. I will try photobucket.

Heck if you are just taking them strait from your files, rotate one and post it ans see if that works. But photobucket will give you those nice full page pictures so you don't have to "click" on the thumbnail to see the photo.

They look great from photobucket. I see you re-posted some of them but some of them did not go threw

I've noticed a lot of times that if I take pictures with my phone, sometimes on my camera, they show up as being rotated on their side when I open them in Windows. I just use the Picture & Fax viewer to rotate them, and then they show up correctly elsewhere.

Can Mr Color aqueous paints be handbrushed, or do they look terrible? (Also, which is a better thinner for them: water, or 91% alcohol?)

Re: Paint/Topcoat Thread. This is where to ask questions. NOT new threads.

    Dear seniors,

I am completely new to painting gunpla and i'd like to give it a shot,

anyway, i've watched a lot of tutorial videos and come down to a 4 steps method
that i'll be testing on my first project.

STEP 1.Base coat paint with TAMIYA spray can
STEP 2.Flat clear top coat with TAMIYA spray can
STEP 3.Detail painting with fine brush with TAMIYA Acrylic paint jars
STEP 4.Remove excess paint/error using TAMIYA acrylic thinner

Question kick in on STEP 4, i bet you're definitely gonna make error and paint over the lines
    during detail painting,

if i use TAMIYA ACRYLIC THINNER to remove the excess/error painted areas, would it strip
my top coat and also base paint in the same time as well?
(considering TAMIYA spray can/top coat is acrylic base)

Your feed back and advise is greatly appreciated, thank you seniors.

i managed to get those pesky topcoat
soaked in isopropyl alcohol then used a toothbrush to scrub 'em off, then wiped off the remaining topcoat

The 23ml Tamiya acrylic paint bottles. I'm thinking about doing some handpainting with them. Do they last a pretty long time in terms of usage? Do the paint bottles run out pretty quickly?

Depends really on how much you're painting. I used one color as primary on a recent HG build that required at least 3-4 coats to look decent due to the color (orange), and by the time I was finished with the kit, I probably have somewhere around 1/2 to 2/3 of the bottle left. Definitely the most I've used, but if you're not doing a whole kit, they'll last a pretty good while if you're thinning and layering properly.

Gotcha. Thanks. I bought a few MG and RG kits so I'm thinking I should probably go all out on them, using primer and painting them. I've been watching loads of youtube videos and reading a bunch of tutorials.

Only thing I'd warn about using Tamiya paints for hand brushing...they tend to dry pretty quickly since they're alcohol based. Might consider getting some retarder to add a few drops in with your mix, or just work a few pieces at a time and then thin mix some more.

Good to know. I was thinking of getting the accent color to panel line. Will using that conflict with the acrylic paint?
