So I wrote this song a few days ago, (keep in mind it's all screamed) I'd like to know what you all think:

    This life is going nowhere
    We’re forever frozen
    In the catacombs of time
They say we’re the captain of our souls,
More like slaves to our fate

    Chorus

We watch the world turn around us
    While we maintain silence
    Our bodies restrained by mind
Why can’t we move with life?
We wrack our eyes in search
    Search of the reason why

    Chorus

    There’s nothing left for us
our time has come and gone
    And it’s overtly clear now
What the wall is comprised of
    We stand in the way
Of any progress to be made
    Only we impede ourselves
And no other is to blame

We are the masters of our fate
    We are the captains of our souls;

    Chorus

    Chorus:
Do we let our lives turn black
    Corrupted by our own design
This world will not wait for us
    This world will not wait...

You cannot stop Batman. Entire planets have tried. When Batman crosses railroad tracks, the warning lights are for the train's safety. The four fundamental interactions in physics are gravity, electromagnetism, weak nuclear force and Batman getting what he wants.

Honestly, I'm not feeling it. Then again, I hate "music" where the vocalist is just screaming into the mic. There's also a lack of music to accompany the lyrics. But maybe it's just me.

I'd have to hear it along with something man. A lot of times, you can give it a more dynamic approach with the timing and everything along with the music. I'll let you know when I hear it with something, say your band's whatnot?

I don't like those quotes, Zeta-G. I get what you're implying, but I like some screaming. Not all the time and not just screaming to scream, but some of the vocalists that use it are quite good.

Those quotes are mostly referring to generic hard rock/metal. I've been forced to listed to many screamers, who couldn't hit a note to save their lives. Something like Pantera is perfectly acceptable as music to me. Without any music to accompany the lyrics, all I hear is generic screaming.

Well, ok. As long as it isn't broad, sweeping, all-encompassing hate, I'll accept it

    From me? Never . . .
In all seriousness, look at my list of bands, I like quite a few types of music, including metal & hard rock. I'm just picky on the specifics.

Skrilex is working on a new Dub album. Equinox has got to be my favorite song from him now. He released the EP, and it's great.

Though I do have a few newer artiest I like, emphasis on the few, and most of them are house music/ and other forms of dance music.

    Favorite Bands and Artists:
    AC/DC
    Kiss
    Creedence Clear Water Revival
    Dio
    Jethro Tull
    Scorpions
    Rammstien
    Dean Martin
    Michael Jackson
    NWA
    Living Colour
    Black Sabbath
    Metallica
    Boy-8 Bit
TM Network @Kenyon These are the people who did Beyond the Time for CCA (love that song best Gundam song ever IMO)
