    Re: Gobbla's Workshop

Ooh, I like the unicorn color scheme! Are you spray can, airbrush, or hand painting the Zaku? When I'm hand brushing, prime + base + layer + shade + highlight + top coat doesn't usually come close...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Thanks! The ripples settled a little more than I was expecting after I spritzed them with the water, but overall I think it's fine. I can always add more if I think it's really necessary.

    Primed...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Ooh man, two of those for a Mudrock would be epic! I've modified this one a bit for my purposes - normally the attachment arm is longer and side attaches to one of the large holes on the side. The...

    Re: Vile's Project Room

That sounds pretty normal. The solvents that fuse the plastic together actually melt the plastics chemically, rather than through heat, but that chemical reaction doesn't always play nice with the...

    Re: Vile's Project Room

It's interesting the cracking is almost in the same place. Its it the paint? Or could it be the underlying plastic? It looks almost like the paint is pulling away from the part after the part shrank.

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Yep, from the MS Cannon 01 set. I've got it mounted now, and there's going to be some putty and structure work in my future...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

I like to live dangerously :P I play a version of 40k with my kits, so it's fair lol

I mentioned it in passing in the post, but I definitely need to thin it with a touch of water. I more meant...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

For sure, hit me up and we'll work something out. Yeah it's pretty cool, I'm in a cube Farm, but I've got a bit of desk space, which is nice.

So, I think I finally settled on the backpack I want...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Well, you're free to the rest of the kit if you want it! I'm not due I'm sold on the Alex pack yet, but it's in modification so I don't think I'll be needing the legs anytime soon. I'm still...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Thanks! The green is actually Citadel's Castellan Green, straight from the pot (with a touch of water to keep the brush happy). I've been going back and forth on the orange - I settled on a...

    Re: Vile's Project Room

That'll be pretty sweet! I think the biggest thing for a lunar surface is a dusty look, with really dramatic lighting painted in. I'd go really dark, then a few rounds of a very light drybrush to...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

It depends on which source you're using - the Crimson Lightning defeats it in one of the MSV accounts, it's piloted by Takeshi Kitamoto in one of the arcade games, it shows up in the 0080 Manga, but...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Yep! I'm making a new backpack to be more in line with the original armaments, but it'll be a thunderbolt full armor still. Officially, the FA-78-1 was never actually built, but the design was used...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Ok, I'll call this one done. While there's plenty I can look forward to improving on for the next one, I really feel like I improved a lot of my skills in the process. And, since i use my kits in...

    Re: Scorn's Hangar

Vintage 1:144 GM Cannon! I decided to go with the North American Front type, and I like the outcome. Plenty to improve on for the next one, but it's a pretty solid start. I wanted a more dynamic...

    Re: Monkeys Garage

My vote is C - it's got a lot of visual interest, it's almost artistic in the large irregular blocks of color.

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

Thanks! I was going for "not too much of an eyesore" so I think it's doing ok LOL

And home stretch now! Decals applied, rocks improved, and ground flock added. I don't think I'll do much else...

    Re: Vile's Project Room

Hey, that's looking really solid! For a test piece, it's coming out pretty good.

Have you tried any of the other skirmish games that folks have come up with? There's probably 3 or 4 different...

    Re: Scorn's Workshop

    Thanks!

The group build I'm building the GM Cannon for is ending soon, so I need to get back to work on it! Shading, highlights, and some striping painted in. Next up will be glossing a few...

    Re: RAG-79 Aqua GM 1/144

That looks great! The tinted resin is really spot on. I wish more 144 kits actually came with clear parts for lighting.
