Try using a Qtip (or a toothpick) with a fine point Gundam marker; you'll get better lining. Otherwise nice job.

Nope. I was just making sure you (and he) knew that I was trying to be primarily helpful.

Alternatively, if you want nice, subtle panel lining? Try a .5 mechanical pencil.

I was actually thinking about using the pencil technique when I get my MG gouf custom. When I do that kit I want to do the most perfect form of panel lining I can.

My college photography instructor managed to beat a little bit of proper shot composition into me. ;)

Nice work, skittles!

Thank you!

So skittles, why decide to build it more like providence? The color scheme better or something?

Actually, I found a beautiful kitbash on a Japanese site that combined two Nix Providences into one 'Full Dragoon' type. It was a thing of beauty, and I decided I wanted to make something similar. So I thought I'd build one as a 'Light Weapon' type and save the extra parts, though I still don't think I'll have what I need. However, I'm quite fond of this one as is, especially since of all the VS kits, Nix just never looked right. I can imagine, however, by the time I've made a few variant machines I'm happy with, I'll have at least a half-dozen Providence variations. I'd also really like to make the Providence 'Evil' type shown in the SEED Masters book.

012x.jpg[/attachment:2q64cwfb]

011x.jpg[/attachment:2q64cwfb]

Yes, these were taken just before the 'trees' photo! I still need to make him some beam sabers to make up for the fact he has absolutely no melee weaponry! (And I think his little hip plugs look strangely like GN condensers - I didn't mean them as such. Those were the only things really 'edited' for this built - lotsa carving and glue there...)

Zoids was the only thing that could get me up in the morning. haha. I still have some of my old models but I recently found that Kotobukiya has a Zoids line called HMM (High Master Model). The lightning saix in the pictures was the first model I bought from that line, and I have to say it was an awesome build. My only complaint - I hate water slide decals! :P

SilverFrameAstray

Well they turned out great. Though even if the fire had kissed the models I doubt they would ignite. That is of course hoping you aren't using a highly flammable paint.

It might be fun to put a cheap NG or HG GM/Dagger/Insert grunt coated with a flammable paint near a campfire.

Then again, given all the environmentally unfriendly materials in gunpla that wouldn't be a good thing for the environment... :(

I was referring to the PVC in particular, but I agree with your point. It still wouldn't be a good idea to ignite one; big corporations do enough polluting on their own, so I don't think it would be a good idea to engage in more polluting, however minor, just for a cheap laugh.

I'm gonna do a custom GN-X in an arctic scheme. Maybe... Idk, I can't decide. I ordered a 1/144 GN-X and a 1/144 Gouf Ignited Production Type the other night, and I also got an airbrush (no compressor sadly, just propellant). Not to mention I'll be ordering Kshatriya within the month.... idk what to do...

I think I'm going to go ahead and get a gelgoog. I'm not trolling either, I'm serious. Out of my intense rage obsession with them I've grown to think they're the most BA Zeonic suits. Well that and the Marasai.

I was wondering what kind of paint scheme I wanted to do for it, if any. I wouldn't paint the Kshatriya if I was you. I'd rather the Gouf. If you mess up on Kshatriya, that's fifty bucks right there, as compared to the gouf :T.

The color itself isn't bad mate, only the texture, and that's probably because of the environment in which it was painted, and that stupid clear coat that kind of melted away at the damn paint.

I've noticed that whenever I use silver or chrome style paints, they seem to attain some sort of globby effect, especially during colder times of the year. I would like to see your 1/100 version at some point, I'm sure that one will look amazing.

Thank you, and I intend to paint the 1/100 in a bit of a more sensible fashion. I don't think it was the paint itself as much as I believe that it was the wind and the clear coat. The paint looks good, just the texture is a bit grainy and the paint makes the creases a bit exaggerated.

That particular facemask looks like it's meant for cold weather.

Haha, oh SFA and your lego chain on Guntank. I love the poses for the enact Cii~ And the epic and everlasting dual between Silver Frame and Carbon Frame. It represents our brother beatings haha.

Oh wow it's been a while since there's been a post in here, so lets kick things off again with some shots of Unicorn Destroy, Nu Gundam, Crossbone, and a wave rider mode Delta Plus!
1.jpg[/attachment:10utuebs]
2.jpg[/attachment:10utuebs]

I painted a majority of the yellow you see, the red "scars" on the face, and the gray on the beam cutlass.
3.jpg[/attachment:10utuebs]

I did paint the Nu Gundam in a somewhat special manner, by hand painting a dark blue testors over all the black parts, then I followed it by a lighter Lacquer Blue. I think it came out beautifully.

6.jpg[/attachment:10utuebs]

And now for the Delta Plus, and I think the second picture is downright amazing for the Delta Plus.

Please excuse the double post, just reviving this thread.

So it was raining, and it felt like a good atmosphere to show off my latest work. My incomplete battle damaged gelgoog marine. I actually got this from GNZ who got it from Asterisk. It was missing a lot of parts, including a monoeye, so I improvised with some metal piping and an aftermarket monoeye in this burned out hull I put in the head. But yeah.

Still have some more to do to it, and touch it up, then I'll post more pics with an actual camera.

If it had better elbows, I would go so far as to say it's the best HGUC kit. There's a pretty good reason I already own 2 and honestly want at least another one.
