I was thinking of picking this kit up and i have heard mixed reviews. Has anyone built this kit, is it worth the 80.00 bucks.

I would say, it's worth it.

You get the effect clear parts for the DRAGOON System. Also, you'll be getting a better action base than the regular MG version (which I have it).

Like rrobbert184, don't expect too much awesomeness.

That's his verdict section... since he also has MG Strike Freedom

Honestly, a lot of rrobbert184's problems are from the fact that he doesn't know how to pose the kit and he couldn't get the sticks to hols up the dragoons. You just have to remember basic physics when setting them up. The dragoons are adding weight and that weight isn't evenly distributed. So when bending those clear rods, keep in mind to try and distribute the weight properly and they won't flop over.

I actually own the kit. And I find it to be amazing. Joe is right, you basically have to bend the rods so that they will hold everything up where you want them to be after the added weight. They basically need to be bent a time or two you get them right. As for the inner frame, that can be fixed easily if you want to put in the time for it.

What are the differences other than the effect parts and the extra base? Hard to justify the $20 price difference imo~

The Full Burst Mode comes with an extra plate of gold plated parts. These parts are the most commonly visible parts once the kit is done. However to really make it look good, the whole inner frame needs to be painted.

What extra parts? I didn't see any difference...

You can see the difference in the parts in the pic below.

What extra parts? I didn't see any difference...

Some of the extra parts you get besides the second stand are affect parts for the thrusters on the dragoons and the rods. The extra runner basically has copies of various parts through out the frame on one runner that has been plated. So you actually get two of some parts that you only need one of, one plated and one not. The price hike comes from the plating process.

Ooohh... I was thinking that there are extra parts for the main body. Didn't think of the thrusters, lines and etc...
