Anyone else read these magical books by Christopher Paolini? Putting it simply it's my favorite book series ever. I've read all the books twice and read Eragon three times now. It's the one book series I doubt I'll ever get tired of. I also firmly believe that if done properly they could make a great movie series. However when they did make Eragon a movie it was completely and utterly butchered. It was missing many critical elements from the book, completely messed up the characters, etc. I could go on for a while about the mistakes they made in that movie. Regardless I was just curious if anyone else here shares the same love I do for this series.

I have them. I got the hard cover but then I had to get the soft cover so I wouldn't break the binding. They were really good books. I have not read them as much as you, LOTR is still one of my favorites but The Inheritance Cycle is up there in the list. The only book that I have gone through multiple copies of (dew to reading and breaking the book) was Star ship troopers.
You are correct about the movie it SUCKED!!!!! I had such hopes for it when it came out. I think that the only one who could do it justice in film form would be Peter Jackson, I mean look at what he did with LOTR.

Yeah, and I'm fairly sure Fox isn't giving up the rights to the movies because they know someone could do it better. They don't want to be put to shame by someone who actually cares about the books. There is literally a huge list of differences on the Eragon wiki as well. It goes on for ages, I swear, you should seriously check it out.

Though of course finding suitable tattoo material was tough I've found at least one that could potentially work. An artistic representation of the sword Brisingr.
