HOLY S**T!

You have an amazing skill. Wow that looks amazing.

Does something like this take you a long time to make/finish?

BTW I was lurking on here earlier and saw you pose just the inner frame and that looked killer as well!

Thanks! Out of curiosity, i checked my wip thread, i posted updates on 9 separate days, ignoring dry time/waiting for paint, and days where i didn't touch the kit. I started on like the 4th of this month. If i am inspired and have motivation, i can really work fast.

I love to hate your work. Talk about setting the bar higher and higher each time you build something!! I have to say, all I can think of is that in this "army" that he belongs to. Do they not have any Privates??? Someone has been skipping their PM. LOL I watched you build this kit and now to see it all done, wow great job.

The glowing mono eye, diorama, and the details really help it spring to life. That's very impressive!

Looks really good. It has a bit of a Grey Zeta vibe to it which I like.
Good work.

This wouldn't by chance be inspired by Syd of Gunpla TV fame's Sinanju Yellow Bird would it? That my curiosity to be honest, the amount of work and the finished product itself is amazing!

Squee
July 17, 2016, 1:57 AM
That guy did a yellow Sinanju? I honestly had no idea, i generally don't follow his work. I chose yellow because i wanted my kit to be unique and yellow is generally not a color i've used in the past.

Yeah, from what I remember it was really the first kit he painted and what not. I posted the Yellow Bird in the Epic Kits thread. The Yellow Jacket just reminded me of the Yellow Bird which is why I ask. lol

To be truthful, I prefer your Yellow Jacket. It's just so drool worthy. I didn't mean to offend if I did.

me to man. im glad you decided to leave the edge shiny. it looks very realistic.

Squee
August 9, 2016, 10:28 PM
Yea, i hit the blades with the satin finish, and the handles with flat, before i glued them together. Figured it would tone down the shininess compared to the rest of the build, without ruining the metallic sheen.

Zaku
August 9, 2016, 10:51 PM
seems like it did exactly that. it looks great. you do awesome work man. makes me wish i could get my crap together and build some damn models. lol. but i have to study. and i have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow for a polygraph test. i got conditionally hired by the fire department and im getting stuff ready for recruit school so i dont have time for anything sadly. but yea your work really makes we want to build something.

Man this is so cool, i love the rust effects. And those chipped swords you posted look awesome. How did you stick it to the base? Im trying to think of ways to non-permanently stick mine down to a base, the best I've come up with is hot gun glue.

Squee
August 19, 2016, 9:49 PM
Metal rods drilled/glued into the base, that have holes drilled into the feet under the kit. You could also get some high power magnets and put them in the feet and base if you don't want holes in the feet. This kit will never be off the base, so it doesn't matter to me.
