The glass makes it a bit hard to take pictures of it all together.

I didn't know how to do the background, so i printed out the Earth on photo paper. Cut that out and glued it to the background. The actual space scene, i freehand airbrushed, then flicked the "stars" on with white paint on an old tooth brush.

The scene that inspired it.

I used Aurora gems and paper for the eye, and forehead lens.

Aurora gem inside the cockpit. I also extended the hinge so that it opens up more, at a slightly crooked angle like in the show.

I put the clip on top at an offset position, so that i can add a hanger so that i can put it on the wall.

you should elecro-etch a brass plate that says Riders in the Skies for it. that would be a nice final touch. all you have to do is find a 12v power supply you dont use anymore and get some cotton buds and saltwater. then mask it off and etch. its easy and looks good.

I thought about just having a brass plate made from a plaque store, but i honestly don't care enough to add that lol

i made a salt water etcher and i use it to put my initials on my tools. its really easy. and the etch comes out just as clean as your masking. just throwing the idea out there. but i get ya.
