Recently completed my HGUC Zaku II. It's a nice simple kit. However, I was disappointed with the lack of thrusters on the backpack. No idea why Bandai left out that detail. Dug up 2 thrusters from my parts bin, painted them, made 2 holes on the backpack, and stuck them on. I also don't think the sculpt is all that great. It's not terrible, but... something seems a bit off IMHO. Granted, it's an old HGUC kit. I suppose it could use a Revive versioning.

I know what you mean. What killed me was the flat circles on either side of the elbows - no detail at all. Combine that with the completely bland backpack and it makes for a just "OK" kit. The details are pretty decent everywhere else - and you've done a great job with it!

Thanks! Colors are mostly German Gray and Luftwaffe Light Green. I left the skirt unpainted to give the model a two-tone green flavor but in retrospect I probably should've painted it in the same green as the arms and legs.

Thanks!

It's pretty sad when the same scale First Grade kit actually has better detail. Just finished the First Grade with similar paint job so I'll be posting comparison shots soon.
