Are you going with the standard red? That white primer makes me think this in white would look awesome!

Black and white has been done, and it looks great. Don't let that shut the idea down, i think this has been done in just about every color. XD

Your wip makes me want to repaint mine!

How do you find the pistol-style grip on that airbrush? I've always wondered how it compares to the more traditional pen-style airbrushes.

I always thought flat and matte coats are the same exact thing.

I meant flat or gloss coat which is best? For shin musha

Ah, okay. Flat or even semi-matte coats tend to look the best. You'll have to mask any areas you want to keep shiny, though. Like metallics and the eyes.

i am going o coat these in flat but keep the metal parts shiny.. what i need to ask is i am using vallejo paints, i wanna make sure on this since they are water based do i need to use a enamel gloss cote then use a water based flat or can i just use a water based flat cote with a airbrush???? i dont wanna destroy the paint job

Vallejo's Matt Varnish is a wonderful product and water-based so it should work fine for what you need. I use it on top of a water-based gloss coat all the time and it works great.
