I'm am currently working on two projects.

The first is 90% finished and relates to the RG Zaku II, I've got to add some detailing, lining and water slides to complete this project.

Unfortunately, this is the second time I've tried to create a Roll Out scheme for a model (Kshatriya pictured below was the first) and in both case's I've been left unhappy with the final results, hopefully the experience with these two kits will help to perfect this scheme for a future project:

My other project is very much at the starting phase, and relates to the Cosmo Zero kit which was recently released by Bandai. I've fully test snapped the models and have painted the fuselage with Humbrol Aluminium and the nose section with Ferrari Red. I'm aiming to have this completed with two weeks if possible.

The Zaku looks fantastic! I love that color scheme. Everything goes so well together. Might I ask why you're unhappy with the Kshatriya? It looks great in the pictures.

Kshatriya was a strange project for me, I wanted a very clean roll out scheme, but IMO, the choice of colors didn't deliver on that desire. To be honest, I should have tried the scheme out first on a SD kit to see if everything balanced properly (I've a SD Kshatriya and hope to do this at a later date).

If I could redo the project I would change several colors, particularly ditch the gold on the chest and sleeves (the contrast between it and the silver paint I used for the insignia doesn't show up very well).

There are a lot of elements of Kshatriya I did like, the paint came out well (particularly the Tamiya Sea Blue on the skirts), and I got some good results using Kosutte Ginsan for the Chrome effects on the arms and shoulder section.

This is how it looked with the binders attached:

I do agree that the trim on the chest and gauntlets does get lost with the gold. However if just changed that to maybe a black or a really dark color. I think the overall color scheme would really come together.

Everything looks great on the Kshatriya, but for my eyes, the gold is what's conflicting (minus those on the thrusters and a bit in the binders). Makes it look like less like the scheme you want and more like an "almost completed, just need colors" paint job. I always thought a Roll Out scheme had a more monochrome look. The RG Zaku's paint job has a better match of metallics where the gold isn't so obvious.
