Everytime I look at that beast, I am simultaneously awestruck and terrified that they managed to get this kit made in something larger than SD/Made up scale. Has anyone here every actually seen one up close/own one? Or is it just one of those kits that all of us talk about purchasing but never do?

No, there are a few people here that have actually owned one. They seem to all agree that, though an amazing kit, it can be extremely difficult to display.

Mine's still in its box waiting for me to have the balls to do it. But the kit has an absolutely amazing amount of potential. As thwalker13 said, though, display is an issue. The thing is around three feet long and a foot or so wide after it's been assembled. There aren't many display cases that people are likely to have that will fit it, so it will almost have to be relegated to the top of a bookshelf or something. And then it will inevitably get super dusty :sad:

On the bright side, big flat surfaces should be easy to dust off, right? ^_^;;

If only it was a flat surface. Big, definitely, but flat...a bit less so.

Too bad I can't program the HGUC GP03 Stamen it comes with to do the dusting :P

You could always scratch-build a Neue Ziel arm and build it so that it can load and fire a aerisolized air duster. At least then dusting would be fun!

Oooh, remote controlled Neue Ziel duster! That's brilliant!

I've owned it. I recently sold it a few months ago. It was sitting on my shelf for almost 10 years collecting dust. If you have the room and the money, go for it! Otherwise, try to find the 1/220 version that comes with the Neus Ziel.

Just so you have an idea:

That is a MG Sinanju for a size comparison. lol

very nice indeed - looks way better than in the actual anime :)

I was about to ask was there a large scale of this:

then I searched - that's pretty amazing

This kit is awsome and i would love to build it, but the price of the kit and the billion dollars to paint it plus my skill level of painting i just could not do it justice.
